Toddler stress/anxiety
We are moving in less than a week. DD has been showing signs of stress/anxiety for the past week or so. She just turned 2 so I know she's confused and doesn't understand why there are boxes everywhere. We've tried to keep our daily and nightly routines as normal as possible with her during all this. These past 4-5 nights she has absolutely refused to sleep in her crib. She won't even let us get her near it without freaking out. She gets so bad that she ends up throwing up. Hubby has been having to lay with her in our bed until she falls asleep. Once we move she will have her own room (she's been in our room in her own crib since birth). I know it will take a while for her to get comfortable with the new house and her own room, but how can I help her when we get to the new place to feel less anxious? We really can't have her sleeping with us in bed every night, especially with baby #3 coming in September. Any advice is greatly appreciated ?

Right? Lol. She's always been my super good in her own crib sleeper. This is definitely her showing stress about change and the move ?

When you get there, as quickly as you can, set up her room just like it is at your old place. Unpack her toys, set up crib ect.
Then try to get the mains living area set up as close to home as possible too. Familiar stuff and surroundings will help a ton.

Thanks @Five! I'm one of those people that has to unpack immediately so I was going to get DDs room done first and all her toys and such placed downstairs. Hopefully once she sees all her stuff she will calm down a little ?

I bought my daughter a sound machine that also has a light on it that projects stars on the ceiling. Seriously it works so well! It was like $20 at target

Why don't you take her shopping for her new room decor, sheet sets, wall stickers, etc. Get her excited as can be! And if she's having anxieties about the boxes why not let her build a Fort or smith with some of the extras?

What if you let her color or put stickers on the boxes that are stressing her out?
