Cub Scouts
Does anyone have a son in Cub Scouts? If so, do they like it? Is it expensive? DS and I are going to a meeting tonight to see what it entails. I just wanted to see what other moms think of Cub Scouts.

I was a Cub and stayed all the way through to Rovers (up to 25 years old). It was the best part of my childhood and taught me many valuable life lessons. I would not be the person I am today if I did not have that opportunity. $$ can ad up with memberships, uniform, dues, camp and field trip costs, but we were not rich and had four kids in activities. So it couldn't have been too expensive. The lessons I learned and friends I made were priceless.
I have 3 kids in scouts. 2 in cub and 1 in boys. Next year will add another. My kids go through our church and they pay the joining fee which here its like 10-20 dollars. And we have shirts or buy them from good will, you will need to nuy the number patches, council patch and tge glag patch i think. Then the books each year. When they earn patches and belt lopps tge den thry are in buys the. Gere books are 12.99 unless u buy on amazon nook they are 9.99 but i would rather have tge book. Done both. Its fun and easy.
Thanks @miss! He needs friends and I need mommy friends so it's a win win..lol
My brother was in cub scouts growing up. I think it's a good idea. Depending on your money situation, but from what I remember it wasn't too pricey. And if you let the den leader know your going through hard times they never fail to help.
I would deff put my son in cub scouts (if I had a son). It's a good way for them to interact with other kids, their age and from different age groups as well. It's good for bonding and making friends. And good for parents too because you can make some friends as well. ☺️
Aw, that's neat Amy ☺️
It's not recent but my grandfather was an Eagle Scout and he used to tell me stories and even taught me some first aide and knot tying that he learned :)
Thanks Yaya!! ?
My ds is a wolf scout. He loves it. It has been about $200 so far for membership fees and uniform/supplies. So far it's been worth it.
