Better than EPO and raspberry leaf tea!
So I've seen so many women mention these two as natural ways to make labour go as smoothly and quickly as possible. But for some reason no one is talking about the effectiveness of eating dates! Don't get me wrong, I'm all about doing all three (and plan to). But EPO and raspberry leaf tea have little/no scientific backing but dates do. Here's one study that was done:
It's 6 a day, you can eat them whenever. I recommended blending them into a smoothie because they act as a natural sweetener. I had one today of the dates, strawberries, milk and some cocoa and it tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry ?
My midwife said they can be fresh or dried, just stay away from overly processed ones.
@mommykay they don't cause labour to happen earlier than it should, they just help labour happen more smoothly and your body go through the stages faster.
@rebecca the dried ones can be used as a sweetener substitute in any recipe. Just blend them and add them to smoothies, oatmeal, pancake batter etc.
The recommended and amount done in the study is 6 a day. It is also a natural stool softener so will help with the first bathroom visits after giving birth !
I started today (36 weeks)! I recommend sticking a roasted almond in the middle ?
Raspberry leaf tea
Where the heck can I buy Raspberry Leaf Tea? I can't find it anywhere!
Has anyone tried doing the raspberry leaf tea to induce labor?
What was your experience with raspberry leaf tea?
EPO and raspberry leaf tea
So I'm 30 weeks (can't believe it) and I asked my dr. He said I could start Evening Primrose oil (epo) and raspberry leaf tea. I've got 1000mg tabs. Seems like everyone online starts things later on.
Anyone drink the red raspberry leaf tea?
I just got a bag few days ago! They are too sweet for me, so I made a banana shake, and also made some purée and add them into my plain yogurt!!! Super tasty!
