I just want to touch on this again my son is now almost 9 months old and he still has this I have use the cream that they given me from the doctor saying it was some kind of baby acne. It seems to still come back and the only time that it stays off for a while is when I put Desitin over it and it seems to cleared up a little bit but then it always comes back.
Okay so get this the dr says oh that's nothing it's just baby acne ????? BS! that's deff not in going in for second opinion and see what's going on
My mom says possibly a dry yeast infection on face idk tho it looks like it gets a little yellow crust to it . Dr it is for this bug
My son's cheeks got so bad they would crack and bleed. We changed laundry soap, stopped using fabric softener, nothing would help, even when we took him to a dermatologist and they had him on 2 different antibiotics and 2 different steroids when he was a baby :( I had read something about coconut oil helping. So I rubbed it all over him every time we changed his diaper(and it's coconut so you don't have to worry about him getting it in his mouth) and it finally started healing and going away and his skin healed up beautifully! I am so glad I tried it.
Yup I agree it looks like eczema wash his face 2-3times a day with a moisture bar like dove or aveeno wash with colloidal, cetaphil, Shea moisture or aquaphor. Any of those and then use aquaphor cream. He'll look oily but it works. My sons skin looks similar but he has an allergy to my milk and therefore his skin won't completely stop breaking out.
It looks like numular eczema. My daughter had this so bad I thought it was going to scar her precious cheeks. 98% of the time, the cause of eczema is an allergy. My daughter turned out to be allergic to casein and soy proteins and was getting it from my breastmilk. Once I carefully changed my diet, it cleared and she turned into a much happier girl. It does take up to 2 weeks for allergens to leave completely though. Good luck and I hope those cheeks get better soon!
