After birth meds!!
Does anyone know what pain meds you can ask for other than Vicodin and 800 mg of ibuprofen ?? Neither one helped me at all and with the pain I get after labor it's like being in labor again . Just wondering about your take on options for pain meds and management after birth . They say with each baby it gets worse ?????? ?? .
Percocet is categorized by Dr. Thomas Hale (the leading expert on breastfeeding & medication) as an L3 which means "moderately safe." It's kind of like pregnancy category C, where you have to look at the benefits vs. the risk. I personally only took it for about 3-4 days after delivery with both of my kids and stopped it before my milk came in.
I honestly don't need it for more then a few days I HOPE ! Lol that fundus shrinking ?????is awfffuuullll and then EVERYTIME they nurse omg the pain and u have to or u bleed . Ib did nothing and Vicodin the same .
Percoset is another strong option ??
If you have a high pain tolerance for meds - then tell the attending OB upfront - they will always offer or Rx the least addictive drug up front - you have to advocate for your particular needs - just keep in mind the Percocet will be a very small # of pills versus the standard Vicodin Rx and ibuprofen the encourage you to take
Pelvic pain during & after birth
Knowledgable mommies who have SPD or severe pelvic pain, does it affect labor, birth, or after birth for you?
Does anyone know if when I go into labor, instead of getting the epidural, and get pain meds...if the pain became unbearable for me could I get the epidural after I've gotten the pain meds if I'm in to much pain??
What's more painful. ? The labor or the birth?
When did you guys go into labor after getting your membranes stripped ?
Mom's that went natural no meds , was it painful? Or painful PAINFUL ? I got an epidural last time but I wanna go no meds...
Anything but Vicodin it's so constipating!
