Spit up..
My LO is 6 weeks 1 day. She formula fed. A couple a weeks ago we switch her formula to Parents Choice Sensitive, but it made her bowel movements really firm. We asked the her doctor before switching her formula. We ended up going back to Similac Pro Sensitive. She’s been doing okay with it and her bowel movements are back to normal for her. But the past couple of days she has been spitting up more. Just a minute ago I fed her a 3 oz bottle and burp her. After she burp it felt like the whole bottle came up on my shoulder, arm, and the bed. She seems fine. I know they say when baby’s spit up it seems like a lot but it’s really not. This is the first time she spit up this much. She’s been drinking 3 oz every 3.5-4 hours. She was really fussy yesterday, but I just assume it was apart of a growth spurt. Her next doctor appt isn’t until 4/27.
🙄 baby keeps vomiting, not just a little spit up, it’s not every bottle it’s kinda random. He burps a lot. I don’t think I’m over feeding him. Went through the same thing with my daughter but she was older. With her we switched formula and it stopped happening. He’s on the formula that we switched to, maybe I should try the regular stuff for him? Idk I’m so lost. Hate seeing my baby do that 💔
So my daughter was on Similac Advanced.. But was switched to Sensitive.. Well its been over 2 weeks and they sent over something to WIC to have it changed on my checks. I haven't gone to WIC yet.. But now I think this formula is making her constipated.. She hasn't been popping much. And when she does she has a really hard time. Question is... Can it be the formula causing the constipation??
Momma's that Formula Feed..
Do your babies spit up after? And if they do how much? My daughter will be fed and burped and she'll spit up an hour or two hours later and its a lot. Anyone else experiencing this?
For moms who breastfed and are giving formula now... Did ur little one have tummy problems(gassy)??shes been on formula 5days(similac sensitive)? Idk if i should call her dr to switch formula or she needs a bit time to get used to it?? Orr??
my daughter is 3 months n has some serious spit up issues its projectile we have done so much its unreal heres the list: infamil infant formula (she got constipated) gentleease, infamil soy (whats shes been on the longest and still is) we feed her sitting up we have burped every ounce and we feel it works her up more so we do half and half burps but doesnt seem to matter. we let her tummy settle before we do anything with her, but half the time she throws up regardless and im not talking spit up...
My son would spit up often as a newborn as well. His pediatrician recommended burping every ounce. We started burping every ounce then moved to burping at half the bottle until he grew out of the spit up phase. She also recommended holding him upright or sitting him in his swing/bouncer for about 30 minutes after his feeding before laying him down and trying not to move him around too much after feedings. As long as she is gaining weight and isn’t crying non stop after feedings as well as having frequent wet diapers I would assume that it’s not a big deal. Of course, talk to your pediatrician at her next appointment. Unless you’re really concerned you can call and ask for their recommendation until your next appointment.
