In my opinion all you need is plenty of patience I understand that you must feed baby on demand every time your baby is hungry do not feel that you are not producing enough milk remember when your baby is inside the womb it is naturally fed with your body when baby comes out baby goes through growth spurts and you must feed baby so just be patient you're at home anyway feed on demand relax and you some nipple cream and some good back support to feed baby

No your body won't make milk during pregnancy. When the placenta detaches, that's what signals your body to make milk. Before that you will only produce colostrum which is all your baby needs the first few days.

I'd suggest you become educated on breastfeeding, so take a class and get a book to read. Also connect with other breastfeeding moms because moms with experience are really the best resources. Make sure you meet with a lactation consultant after you have your baby.

The only preparation you may need is to take a breast feeding class. I found it helpful. And stock up on breast pads and some nipple cream.

Let your body do what it naturally does. It will make milk. Just because you’re not leaking, doesn’t mean you won’t make milk. The placenta detaching from your uterus signals for your milk to come in.

There’s no need to drink or eat anything specific to milk production before you know what your supply will be like. Some moms need a boost, some never do.
