Severe Sickness !!! ??

How are you guys dealing with severe (all day) sickness?! I’m 7wks and have been hospitalized twice for severe dehydration, low blood sugar & blood pressure. I’ve been out of work for the last week because the nausea and vomiting is way too much for me to deal w throughout the day ! I can’t even sit up for longer than 5-10mins without feeling faint. Any suggestions ? Meds don’t help!

JCurves, I’m the same. I don’t do a lot of research on many meds, I just don’t take them. I’ve never been a fan of medication for any reason. I always try to find natural alternatives to my problems , I’m just having a bit of difficulties with this one lol. Honestly with my first there was no relief, I just had to stick it out and it eventually got better over time. My biggest fear is that’s what I have to look fwd to ?

Stone, I was actually prescribed that but it was 186$ at Walmart and I’m in GA. Where did you get the coupons from?

Thanks so much for the tips ladies. I have preggie pops, ginger gum, and sea bands. Ginger ale and crackers haven’t helped either. I think it’s just gonna be rough for me

Rest and sleep as much as you can. Have lights snacks and juice throughout the day. I also tried preggie pop drops and they helped!

Hi,

I’m sorry you’re feeling so sick. I would try to ster clear of the anti-nausea drugs such as Zofran as much as possible there was a class action lawsuit against them and it has been shown to cause severe birth defects. It’s a drug normally used for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Always research drugs for yourself before taking them, especially while you’re pregnant.

Anyway, as far as the nausea, I was severely sick like that for a bit during my pregnancy and had Morning sickness for about 7 months. There are a few things you should try,. First off, try not to allow your stomach to be empty. Keep crackers or some other light snack with you at all times. I found that the empty stomach almost always made me nauseous so as soon as I woke in the morning I would eat crackers before I even got out of bed. Also try drinking things with electrolytes, such as Gatorade, coconut water or pedialyte. Third, ginger is a natural way to settle your stomach. You could either get fresh ginger root from the store peel, it cut it up and boil it in some water until the water turns yellow and use the water to make tea. You could also buy natural ginger ale/ sometimes called ginger beer. Don’t buy the kind you would see in the normal grocery store like Canada Dry, look for it in the organic section or a natural foods store like Whole Foods. You should be able to see the bits of ginger in the bottle. Good luck, I pray it gets better for you!

I am so sorry that you are feeling this way. I hope you can have relief from all this pain soon. I hope Jesus takes all this pain away from you. I hope that doesn't bother you for me to say that.

I'm sorry you're feeling so sick. I threw up just twice in both my pregancies and it was AWFUL. I can't imagine being sick all day.

I'm on the exact same.

With my son, I was on Zofran my entire pregnancy and that worked for me.i was popping blood vessel and all.

This one, I have tried Phenegran (oral and suppository), Zofran, Doxy... and still no use. I can't keep any liquids or solids down and tomorrow is my first appt. I'm just prepared to be admitted. I can't even remember when was the last time I ate, now blood is coming up in my vomit. On top of that, had kidney infection. I'm honestly ready for a feeding tube because it's becoming unbearable. When I get an IV, I still manage to throw up those liquids.

All I know is this is it! Pregnancy may be a beautiful thing, but for me, I never got to experience such. I wanted to do my part and surrogacy but I'm sorry, my body is not meant to carry another human being without intervention.
