numbers going up...so frustrated

I was diagnosed with GD at 13 weeks. My numbers have been great so far, except for fasting which I have been taking insulin at night to try and fix. Now I'm 22 weeks and all of a sudden meals that used to be fine for me are raising my numbers. It's beyond frustrating. Now I have to try and redo my diet plan to find new stuff that works. I'm so sick of having to cook multiple meals all day long, one my family eats and one I can eat, and now to try and start all over again to find stuff that works. Ugh. Eating shouldn't require this much thinking... rant over.

This is happening to me right now...my levels have been high for the past 10 days or so even though I have been eating foods that used to be fine. Struggling to bring them down!

If your family won't eat GD friendly meals (DH just ate what I did when I had GD with DS), you might want to check this out:

I have hyperemesis gravidarum with this pregnancy and can barely tolerate any foods (or smells) so DH and DS have been getting a lot of foil packet dinners. Quick prep and super easy clean up.

Don't feel bad about it. You are doing what you can. The values will increase until 34-35 weeks so it's ok for numbers to change, approach to change and for your to have different needs. Hang in there. Have been there with similar frustration earlier on and can only say that it will get easier.. and there is an end to it once baby arrives. I'm counting the days!

It is frustrating. It definitely gets worse as you progress. I have 7 weeks to go and I'm so over it
