The real struggle.

We were in the McDonald’s drive thru waiting for our food. A guy walked by and asked for quarters for a dollar burger. We had some change and handed it to him. He was so happy and said “thank you” as he walked in. My SIL said wait I have some more, his eyes opened and ran back, he said “oh man! I get to get fries tonight!”

SIL handed him a $5. He ran back and said again “ I get a whole meal! And an apple pie!”

He was so excited. He walked out with his meal. Eating it so happy.

Real eye opener.

There’s a young cat that stands on the corner by our Mac Donald’s. I can’t help but give him all I’ve got. Every time he goes and gets food (like right away) I started giving him bottled water, I’d grab him a coffee and whenever I’d give him money I’d give him our business card and tell him it wouldn’t hurt to try us out. Hubby would pick him up right where he stands for work. He never did come for work. But I always felt full knowing he got to eat and enjoy a wee bit. Polite kid. Good job ladies :)

Amazing! It's nice seeing people actually help these guys who are hungry and on the streets 😊 Growing up, my mom absolutely refused to give homeless people money because she thought they'll spend it on their habits (alcohol, drugs). It always broke my heart.

@takesma, I’m not sure what you mean by that. However, we never know if they really are struggling so, I rather take the chance and give the change I have.
