Weight Gain
I am 12+5 with di/di twins. I had read online that it was very important with twins to gain weight in the first half of pregnancy. Mainly because the further along you get the less room there is for them to grow. Is this right? I've lost 14 lbs so far & cannot seem to gain for amything. When I went to the doctor last week she kind of brushed it off. She said the twins looked fine though, no specifics. Should I be more concerned with my weight gain?
I think everyone gains/loses at a different pace. I didn’t gain weight until almost the third trimester. Babies are measuring 5+lbs at 34 weeks. I have put on about 20lbs. I don’t think it matters how much you gain...it’s how the babies are looking. I’ve learned every woman’s body is different and reacts differently to pregnancy. Btw: congrats on twins!
Thanks ladies! I will just ride it out then :)
I am 30 weeks and just now back to my pre-pregnancy weight(most of which I am contributing to 7 lbs worth of twins and two pounds worth of amniotic fluids) My SIL has gotten into me a couple of times because you are *supposed* to gain 50 pounds with twins. But I have at most 7 weeks left and there is no way I’m gaining 7 lbs a week...she has told me that I’ll be gaining a bunch now since I’m so ‘behind’ but I’m like nah, probably not. Doctors aren’t concerned at all. Don’t let it stress you.
I didn't start gaining until 20 weeks. My doc had no issues with it. In the beginning, when you may not feel so hot, it's hard to keep up with both your needs and the babies needs calorically. Once you get farther along, appetite gets better and you get less active, in my experience at least.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
I appreciate the input ladies! With my previous pregnancies I did not gain until I was 20 weeks or so and my babies always looked fine. But they were singletons so I thought it would be different with twins. Maybe not, lol. Thanks for the congrats! Happy pregnancies ladies :)
