Ebf & slow weight gain
Dd will be 3 months old on Friday & she is gaining weight pretty slowly. In the last 3 weeks she has only gained 10 ounces. She has good color, you can see fat on her (chuncky cheeks, chunky thighs, & a little belly), she has about 8 wet diapers & 2 dirty diapers every day. She is not fussy & nurses well on demand (about every 1 1/2-2 hours during the day). Doctor seems concerned. I'm not overly concerned, but now I'm wondering if I should be. My other 2 kids have a high metabolism & I think she does too, but idk. What do y'all think?

My daughter will be 3 months Wednesday. She gained a lot very fast and now is gaining slowly. My first gained verrrrrry slow the entire first year. And my second was somewhere in the middle. I think sometimes there's too much emphasis put on the numbers. All kids are different. Almost a lb sounds about right for this age. They say double the birth weight by 6 months. Even my slooooooooow gainer did it before 6 months.
Breastfed babies should really used the WHO growth charts bc they gain differently than formula fed but not all Drs do.

I think it's fine. I have a little boy. He is consistently under the 10th percentile. He was in the third percentile at his 4 month appointment. As long as she is gaining and staying within her growth curve and happy and making enough diapers I wouldn't worry.
