Ro baby has tried rice cereal and sweet potatoes so far!! He just turned 5 months a week ago so I'm not forcing…

I ebf and only add foods when baby seems hungry ( starts to feed closer together not cluster feeds like growth spurts)

Usually between 10 months and 15 months I give first foods.

Egg yolk I just boil the egg good and remove the whites give a few slides from a spoon.

If they take it well I make the egg eventually a little runny ( cooked more then runny)

Also if I make a desert with egg whites I keep the yolk and will cook it with a little water or olive oil.

Breastmilk is naturally sweet so they are already used to sweetness if you breastfeed. Lol luckily my little guy seems to put anything I put in front of him.

How are you doing egg yolk? I probably won't try that until he gets a couple teeth lol.

I want the give him.Avocados but I'm waiting until his 6 mo appointment to ask. Just because my mom, sister, and I are allergic. But my mom and I still eat them.

Bananas are very sweet so are apples babies love them.

Be careful with banana seeds can make bubs blocked up.

I haven't strayed foods but when I do I'll start with probably egg yolk or avocado.

Apple's or bananas I don't know I feel it starts them with a sweet tooth lol

Bananas are my little guy's favorite! They top everything he's had so far! He kinda likes pears but bananas wins! Stocking up on those tomorrow!

We started bananas today and wow!!! He loved them SO MUCH! He was laughing in between bites and trying to devour the spoon haha! I guess he didn't like the sweet potatoes that much and that's why he wasn't interested haha but bananas WOOW he loved it ??

We started at 4 months with cereal. 2 weeks later we tried sweet potatoes for 3 days. Then bananas for 3 days. Then green beans for 3 days. Today we start pears!

Sweet potatoes he liked a lot. Bananas he went bananas for!! Haha :). Green beans he liked at first but by day 3 he wasn't interested. Haha

Here's our feeding schedule.

6/7am-sleepy nurse

9/10 am- 5oz bottle then cereal after

1/2pm- 5-6oz bottle

5/6pm- 5-6oz bottle then fruit or vegetable

9/10pm 5-6oz bottle

2/3am 4-5oz bottle

Repeat

The reason for the varied times is because it usually depends if it's bath night. I adjust my pump schedule as needed. He also isn't quite sleeping completely through the night yet but I think it's because he sleeps in our room so daddy's snoring wakes him up lol

I started avocado and banana when Enzo turned 5 months and at first he loved it (i only gave it to him every few days) but now he sort of gags, so we are going to wait until after his 6 months check up. Maybe he's not really ready yet, which is fine with me ? I also tried oatmeal cereal mixed with breastmilk but he would only eat it when it was very runny and even then he wasn't too thrilled lol.

Aww so cute! My son still just spits in straight out! All my kids did the best with cereal first since the taste isn't so overwhelming and I would slowly add flavor to it! They are getting so big!

He eats 4 oz every 2 hours. I've tried to up to 6oz but it would just make him over full so we stick to 4 bc it's easier on his tummy.

Kinleigh has been on solids since 3.5 months

Dr approved lol she loves her cereal with fruit mixed she loves bananas,apples and she isn't a big fan of veggies yet but she eats carrots and avocado she hates the peas and sweet potatoes. We do cereal in the morning and a veggie in the afternoon and cereal again around supper time. How many oz of formula is he eating? Kinleigh eats every 2 hours unless she's sleeping
