I'm so sorry you're having trouble! My left side is flat so I know how frustrating the latching process is ? if I'm engorged at all (usually just at night) then it's practically impossible for him to latch.. but as long as he's not starving, I can get him latched ok during the day. If he's super hungry though, he gets too frustrated with that side to nurse on it.. I then have to start him on the right, to calm him down, and then try again on the left. I have to try to shove it in so he can latch on it.. usually takes a few tries.. The only thing that seems to help me is time.. I remember everything started working better on that side with my firstborn around 2 months pp- seems like with this baby it's coming along faster- maybe because I'd bf my first for 18 months..

I wish I had a magic solution for you! I know it's so hard.. hope it starts getting better soon! And I hear you- pumping sucks!

I usually try to start him on the right and then move him to the flat side mid feed. Sometimes that works and he latched and successfully nurses for 5 or so minutes. I'm hoping he can draw it out when he nurses I just need to get him to latch every time we feed. It's definitely all about patience. Neither myself or Ro have that trait ?

I also have a flat left nipple! lol have you tried nipple shields? that helped a little with my son. With this one, I agree, just keep shovin it in lol it took a lot of work but she kind of sucked it into a normal nipple now lmao... don't let it get too engorged though. I noticed that makes it more flat and harder to latch

What's weird is it never gets engorged! I used the shields but he won't even latch to that anymore for whatever reason. ?

Search the flipple method and try that! I heard the angle helps :)

In the videos I watched most mamas had very protruding nipples and mine is super flat. Very flush to my skin.
