Breech baby 35+5

My Roman is still breeched as of the ultrasound today. They're talking C-Section around April 12th, which I really do not want unless of course I absolutely have to.

That is what I did but I couldn't do it on the couch lol I piled some cushions and had my hands on the floor Dh was next to me comforting my backside ehm I mean incase I fell lol

He thought it was the best thing in the world.

I did do it numerous times in the day woke up and she had turned.

I hope ur bubs doesn't have iugr I think if he did your Dr would have told you? Can you call and ask like if you say it's bothering you because you want to try turn him naturally and worried he may have iugr ?

Usually iugr baby's are monitored pretty close especially toward the end.

Not all baby's meet the measurements we don't all carry text book " perfect" baby's so don't stress it too much?

I'm trying to vbac before Friday but I have also accepted I may just need a cesarian on Friday but I know myself if I don't try all the weird sitting positions and pressure points I'll feel so let down post partem so ...here's to no regrets ??? stay positive and whatever will be will be ?

One of my friends is in the exact same boat and From all that I've read is that c section is the best thing to do. The safest. As long as you get a health baby in he end, how he came should not be a worry. And I think don't try to flip the baby, I heard and read that that may complicate things. My friends doctor has asked her to not try anythjng like that. Talk to ur doc before doing that pls.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever had their baby flip in the last few weeks or so and if that was on their own or not.

My doc hasn't mention IUGR or placenta issue by name but his belly was measuring 4 weeks behind at my 35 week appointment so what I've read it kinda sounded like we might have one of those things.

I tried spinning babies inversion thing where your legs are on a bed and arms are on the floor. I did that for 30 seconds tonight like it said to do so I'll keep doing that and see if that makes any difference. I also did try the peas and heating pad and he was moving like crazy but his head is still up in my ribs lol.

I'm staying positive! Hopefully he will flip but if not then that's how it was meant to be and I'll be ok with that too!

I believe she is asking an open forum of people for their experience in this situation or similar.. I told her mine.

Obviously if she wanted to ask her Dr she can do that with out us advising but she's looking for similar situations or ideas hence her asking the public

I'm in the same boat as you. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and baby is still breech. He has been for the past 3 weeks. They told me csection if he doesn't turn :(

Could you try acupuncture to flip the baby?

A doc I work with had 3 sections - first emergency which wasn't great because of course it was an emergency. Then, the next two she opted for the section and absolutely loved the experiences both times. I understand you'd like to have your baby naturally but c sections aren't the end of the world either ! I hope he flips for you but if not don't worry too much!

Queeny- that's pretty terrible advice. She doesn't know whether she has those issues. You should always direct her back to her provider no matter what anecdotal experience you may have. She has low amniotic fluid, which may or may not be due to issues with the placenta, she's just not sure and they haven't told her.

Chedges- I would call your doctor and clarify if there's any IUGR or placenta issues and what they recommend to do at home to try to turn little Roman. They know what's going with your specific situation. Always better to be safe!

I can understand your concern with him and trying to turn him but you said no one mentioned iugr or placenta issues so why are you worried about it ?

I did the forward inversions method twice and it turned my baby's both times I actually had marginal privia and didn't know when I did it but then baby flipped again weeks later which I was told was normal as she still had room I did the forward inversions again around 30 something weeks ( between 32 to 34 maybe I forget now) she flipped again and I didn't even notice it.

The frozen peas or heating pad thing I would try first if your concerned but that may motivate you into trying the inversion lol

Don't be scared of a cesarian if you had placenta problems or iugr which you don't... but cesarian is difficult for a baby to go through and for mum to care for baby after.

If I was you I'd try the inversion and then if nothing works you will just end with the cesarian but Atleast you tried what's best for baby first and you which would be a vaginal birth complete with baby getting the hormonal changes at the end of pregnancy and early labour and birthed through the birth canal.

Cesarians really aren't a joke they hurt and can come with many complications not to scare you but when it happens to you there is that inkling in the back of your head...did I do everything I could have etc.

Hope little man flips for you ?

I wouldn't try handstands unless approved by your doctor you just never know. I think the spinning babies website also says the same thing.

I will probably try to do frozen peas (well, blueberries lol) and a heating pad underneath me. I've also heard of doing handstands which I could do with the help of my husband, but I'm worried that could cause an issue with the placenta or something.

Awwww poor Roman!!! For now, I would just try the spinning babies website, down on all fours for five minutes at bedtime and just drink LOTS of water.

The reason my breech baby is an issue is because he doesn't have enough amniotic fluid in the sac to turn himself around like that. It feels like he's trying to turn around but he can't. ? I feel bad for the little guy. He will move like crazy for thirty minutes or so but can't ever get anywhere. ? He's like "I'm trying mama!" Breaks my heart ☹️

There are two things I think you could try

1- put a ice pack on the top of your stomach and a heating pad underneath. The idea is the baby will move away from the cold to the warm

2- I've also heard to put peppermint on the top of your stomach.

The issue is I don't know if I have an IUGR or placental issue. They haven't said anything about that at all just low fluid so I'm just not wanting to jeopardize something.

It's just hard because I want to do a natural so badly but if this is what I'm supposed to do then I'll definitely do it.

Y'all support means so much!

Oh hun. If you're having IUGR or placenta problems, just have the c section. A healthy baby is most important and none of us will judge you for not having a vaginal birth.

I flipped once my mom's water broke

I looked on that website but they have a disclaimer that if you have IUGR or potential issue with placenta not to try it because you could damage it more or tear it completely.

I'm afraid to jeopardize his health just because I selfishly don't want a c section ?

Go to spinningbabies.com it shows you different things you can do to help put them back into position... my little one was transverse and my midwife recommended that website and sure enough, she went back into position.

:: So we found out last night the Elijah is breech. In her words, “oh he’s breech! He’s very breech!” I see my OB on Tuesday and will let her know, but I just want to hear some experiences from other moms.

Anyone else find out their baby was breech around 31 weeks and the baby ended up flipping? (Please don’t suggest a chiropractor. We don’t do chiropractors.)

Thank you! ❤️

okay mommies with breech babies. my daughter is breech.

I was also born breech.

is there a good chance she will be a c section baby? I mean I'm 30 weeks. so she still has time to flip. but what are her chances of not? does it have anything to do with the fact that I was breech and didn't flip?
