Keeping it a secret sucks! lol I found it especially hard to keep it from my mom. We told our parents around week 6 or 7 after first ultrasound. Next one is this Monday and I will be 12w1d and if everything is well, we will be announcing it to everyone else!! Can't wait :D

I had one at 4 weeks and didn't tell FB or anything which was good..but now I'm 8 weeks and I have just announced. .here's why. I've personally decided that I just can't wait until 12+ weeks to share such great news and that if it were to happen again, I want support this time. My husband didn't know how to be supportive last time so it was double hard on me. I have a lot of people who love and care about me and my family so if it was meant to be that way then I'd have tons of support! :)

I'm 9wk 3d, DP of course knows, we told my mum at 6wk (couldn't tell dad as he can't keep a secret) we also told a BF, a) because I needed to share such great news, b) because I needed the support from these two people no matter what our outcome is. Planning on telling our nearest & dearest at the 12wk mark.

It's so hard to keep wonderful news. I have had a few MC though. I told hubby at 7 weeks this time. I might tell my mom after my 8 week US but we're not telling anyone else until were past the 12 week marker.

Congrats!! I would think you're probably safe to share the news with your family once you're past 12 weeks, but you should do whatever you are comfortable with :-)

I didn't tell anyone till I was 20 weeks, i posted it on facebook. I'm 30 weeks and I'm pretty sure my grandma still doesn't know.

What helped me in keeping it secret was ok first I was so excited I had to just tell someone so I called up my best friend and told her lol then I waited till 11 weeks to tell my family and it made it Easier couse there was someone to talk about it with and I didn't feel like I had a secret couse I had already told some one

I've lost two babies and have still told a ton of people. I'll probably tell everyone else close this weekend after all my bw is over then we'll tell the world after first us (6-7w). My reasoning for not keeping a secret is if I lose the baby I need support. I learned this after my first loss. I only knew a day before I started bleeding and found out at 6w we'd lost it. I told everyone after the fact bc I felt better talking about it. You just have to do what's right for you.

We hide our pregnancies for as long as I can keep my bump hidden. Our first was a secret til 12w. Our 2nd stayed hidden until 10w. We never made a big announcement on fb until 12-16w for both pregnancies. Our first baby had Trisomy 13 and passed away after she was born...so we try not to say much about anything to anyone until we know the baby is healthy. It is very emotionally draining until we get that information.
