WTF!!! She's a daycare provider???

So I'm sure everyone has heard about the woman who dropped her 2 year old into the cheetah pit at the Cleveland Zoo. I just read a story on it that says she's a daycare provider! Well, probably not anymore! ?

I'm sure the daycare just has to wait for legal reasons. It's probably easier to fire her after conviction than it is to do so beforehand.

It may not be intentional but maternal instincts should kick in. " maybe I shouldnt hold my child over the railing of a cheetah pit"

I live in WI, right next to MN. A dad here put his toddler over the safety railing of the cougar exhibit. The cat grabbed the child through the mesh tenting and bit him. When the cougar let go, the dad grabbed his son and ran. The zoo officials didn't even catch him. I'm not sure if he was found or charged.

People do this in Yellowstone, too. Close to geysers or mud pots or 1,000 degree pools. They'll even try to set their kids on top of buffalo. I live in Wyoming and I've seen it.

People are stupid.

Dropping the kid probably wasn't intentional, but seriously? There is no justification for putting him over the fence to begin with. Pure ignorance.

I don't feel like it was intentional but that she actually didn't think of what would happen.

I can understand wanting to give your little one a better view, but there is nothing that can be said in this mother's defense that could justify putting her child over the railing. This little boy is so lucky nothing worse happened. I'm sure the mom is beating herself up over what happened, but she definitely needs to be prosecuted.

At our zoo there's a railing where there are lions they're like in a put. So it's possible to get that close here.

Does anyone remember the one with the gorilla and kid.

Yes its a real story pp, and the boy hurt his leg but he's OK besides that.

Cause there is a little pavilion up the hill from the exhibit that looks over it, an she was holding him over that wall. The rest of the exhibit has a tall fence and then another fence keeping people away from the first fence. Idk why the pavilion wall was so accessible. But I'm sure they'll be fixing that now. Still idk what she was thinking. The article said she was holding another child at the same time too.

A boy in Pittsburgh fell off a display and was killed by some animal, I think some kind or wolf or dog? I don't know why people are making jokes about this? Os it a real story?

Did he get hurt?! A 10 foot fall sounds a bit rough for a 2 year old..

I live in Columbus, and it was on our news as well. What was seriously going through this lady's head?? ???

Sometimes the only way to get the cheetah to come over is to dangle a treat.

Wow. I just googled it, apparently the mother was dangling the two year old over the fence and he slipped and fell 10ft and the dad jumped in and got him. They're lucky the cheetahs didn't get him ?

This is beside the point but I've seen things similar to this on the news. The zoos near me you can't even get close to do this I don't understand why they can get that close.Shes an idiot what even made her want to do that .

Yup, I saw that today too. It was all over my Facebook since I'm from Cleveland. I can't believe they didn't fire her on the spot. They're waiting for her trial to take further action! Hello? They should have fired her immediately rather than put her on leave since she's facing charges.
