Preggers that parent had one baby so it's not hard to have that car seat out..it is our job as parents to expect the unexpected. But with a running car with keys in ignition, having it stolen is expected. Also, it is our jobs to use our brains to protect them..It is not always the car people want either. Some people want kids&will take them. Things happen all of the time(some we can control&some we cant)
@mrskellway that was dreadful, wasn't it. Number 1 reason to not leave a child in the car, my son is 6 I have never and will never leave him alone in the car, even if he's sleeping and heavy as anything. Organise yourself so you don't have to get petrol when you're on your own with a child if you're too lazy to take them out.
I will leave my three in the car but the oldest is baby sitting while I do it.
Oh and he is 17 middle is 11 and youngest is 5 lol so ..... If I only have the 5 yr old he joins me everywhere if he can't go in I don't need it.
Once I had him with me and needed gas didn't have my debit card with me so I had to find all the cash on me, he was asleep in the backseat I pulled up to the gas pumps and pushed the button asked the worker if he could walk out to the door and get the money because I had a sleeping lo with me I pulled up in front of doors gave him the money and pulled back to the pump. There is always a way not to leave kids alone in the car.
In the uk just last week a mother left her 3yo daughter in the car while she quickly picked something up, the handbrake slipped and the car rolled down hill into the river drowning that little girl. Its never safe to leave your kids anywhere.
Its not okay to steal, but cars are replaceable.
I don't understand how people can just leave their kids alone in a car. Gas stations are popular spots where cars get stolen from!! And it takes more then a few seconds to pay for gas.
The guy was wrong of course for stealing the car, but at least he didn't drop the child on the side of the road like some people have done.
I judge hardcore when parents do this kind of stuff, idc what your excuse is leaving a child in a car alone and unattended is not ok. It only takes a couple seconds for something to go wrong.
Shame on you @preggers. You make me sick to my stomach. Its really not all that hard to takr four kids in the store to pay for gas. Literally takes all of 2 minutes. IF THAT. Or you can just idk maybe get a DEBIT/CREDIT CARD since you wanna leave your kids in the car. I'm judging HARDCORE at all you mama's thinking it's OK to leave your kids alone in the car... Infants at that. Smh
@preggers if you cant properly care for 4 children you should have stopped reproducing along time ago I have seen many of freak accidents happen at gas pumps and to think if children were trapped inside of those vechiles it would have been devestating but only if your safe and okay I guess nothing else matters ?
I watched a truck burst into flames at a gas station once. I don't care how mad people get, I judge the hell out of a BAD parent when they leave their kids in the car.
All sorts of things can happen in that time. Your car can go up in flames, someone can steal your car, someone can hit your car, and the most common of course, your kid can suffocate because you were too lazy to get them out.
@preggers you got damn right I’m judging!! Can you not see that damn INFANT carrier?! You can take the baby in the seat out of the car and carry the baby inside with you to pay for what you need to pay for.
Damn right I’m judging YOU for leaving 4 children in a car unattended! I don’t care if you took the keys, do you know how quickly someone can break into your car and snatch one or more of your children because you left them in the car to go pay for something? There’s no excuse. Pay at the pump!
I guess im a bad mother because I leave my FOUR children in the car while I go pay for gas. I would never leaves the keys in it but its just sad that you guys automatically blame the parent for leaving the baby in the car but maybe, just maybe her baby was sound asleep and she didn't want to wake her just to go and pay for gas. Not everybody expects someone to steal their car. Sometimes its just fate.
Thief is still wrong for stealing, but at least he took the baby to a safer place instead of dumping the baby on the side of the road or doing something worse!
The parent is an a-hole for leaving that baby unattended in a running car and I'm judging the hell out of them! You don't leave young children alone in cars, I don't care what you're doing! They're lucky that all this person wanted was their car and not to harm their child. I hope they think twice about leaving their child unattended again, but they'll probably do it another time down the road if they were comfortable enough to do it this time.
@alexis..Im judging the parent. You dont go anywhere that your could can't go.I do not go into a gas station to pay for gas when it takes 2 seconds If I am too lazy to take her out, maybe I should pay with my card at pump.Anything can happen in 2 seconds..No amount of time a child is left in a car alone is excusable.
Edit:the thief is still wrong but at least he cared more than thr parent
Those parents were lucky he was their theif and losing their car was the worst thing that happened. Someone could have kidnapped the kid and left the car...
Hahaha h*** yes you judge that parent for leaving the child in the car. WHAT DO YOU MEAN!? He left his infant child in the car, running with the keys in the ignition. That baby is vulnerable. It's against the law to leave children in the car. Parents make mistakes all the time. But EVERYONE should know not to leave their children in the car. Yeah it's a pain in the a** and a hassle at times. But once your child is born you protect that child with everything you got. And as for the criminal at least he did the right thing and got the baby to a safe destination. WRONG for stealing a car but RIGHT for not taking the baby. That could have ended a lot worse then it did. I blame the parent 100% in this scenario.
I’m sorry does nobody realize this guy stole a car?? And he probably only dropped the babe because he didn’t want to add kidnapping to his rap sheet. We are going to judge the parent for making the mistake of leaving a baby in a car to probably run in somewhere really quickly-and this could have been for any number of reasons. Don’t you judge the parents and the situation you know nothing about. Judge the damn criminal who stole something that didn’t belong to him in the first place!
While he stole a car, and committed a crime, it’s unheard of that he’d make sure the baby was out and safe first. So many of the Amber alerts here are people who’s car was stolen with their baby or toddler in the back because they left them in the car to pay for gas inside. ? Most criminals take the car anyways and then ditch it somewhere with the baby still inside.
