@cmm it's the same person in both pics he just has more tattoos in one. So just an older vs newer pic.
Absolutely disgusting individuals. I wish it was a heavier charge!! My heart breaks for his family who will probably be haunted forever by that video. Can you imagine having to watch a video of your loved one dying and not being able to do anything about it?! ?
I've now seen 2 different pictures of the man that was supposed to have drowned. I wonder which one is really him! Looks like some news channels need to get their shat together!!!
I think specific laws need to be written about social media use. I wouldn't want me death or a family members death put on social media. Death should not be entertaining. This whole situation disgusts me.
If my kid did this his butt would be off to military school.
@dragon, the man pictured is the drowning victim. I don't think they've released names or pictures of any of the teenagers involved.
This whole thing is so messed up. I read that when an investigator was talking with one of the teens and his mother, she was crying and he was sitting there smirking. Sociopathic behavior.
I am so glad they got charged. I read this story last night, and I was horrified. I can't believe they posted it online. Social media is getting out of hand.
Good.
Are those tats on his face? How the hell is he a teen, he looks 32
This is sad and disturbing...they should face some negligence charges at the least. Sad state of human "evolution"
But about changing the law...you really need to think about that. Do you really want to be charged with the death of someone because you failed to act in a way that might save their lives---of course it depends on the circumstances---but really think about what that means.
What's sad is they won't be charged for being disgusting heartless humans for not helping or calling for help. They can be charged for not reporting a dead body. That victim deserves more. I think it's time for law changes.
Good!
I actually worry that their ability to watch such an incident and react like they did could trigger them acting on/doing other things... I mean something has to be seriously wrong with someone to do what they did.
Good, that's the least those scum buckets deserve.
I'm so glad they are being held responsible! The article I read said they hadn't technically broken any laws... which is disgusting. I wonder what they are charging them with.
I couldn't even watch the video, some people are really cruel
I saw that earlier this morning and I'm happy they're being held accountable and that some sort of justice will be served.
Good they deserve what's coming to them. That video that was posted was very disturbing. It's hard to believe some people can be so cruel!!!

I refused to watch the video!!!!! I find it absolutely appalling that they couldnt just dial 911, I understand not wanting to risk their own life but I've read that they were laughing, mocking him, tellin' him he was just going to die, that whole time 911 or help shouldve happened! It makes me so sad...it hits home with me because my brother drowned :( I'm just at a loss for words they lack any compassion for another human being.
