4 years smoke free!!

On this day, 4 years ago, I lite a cigarette. Smoked half of it, then threw it out. The next day, I found out about my son. I have been smoke free for 4 years now!

That's awesome!

I quit by transitioning to vaping, then dropped that when I found out I was pregnant. I can see where it wouldn't work for everyone, but I didn't have the urge to vape like I did to smoke.

A few years ago, I had quit smoking for a solid year. When I realized Dh had thrown out my old pack of cigarettes, I relapsed within the week. ? Feeling in control was a major factor for me. I needed to feel like I had the choice.

Congrats!! Way to go ?. I quit 17 years ago. One of the best things I've ever done. Now I'm the person making yucky faces when I walk by someone smoking. Keep up the good work!!

I found out about my son on July 6th and quit cold turkey on July 9th when I realized cutting back wasn't going to do it. I am looking forward to being where you are one day! Congratulations on your 4 years! That's awesome.

Congrats on 4 years! I've been attempting for the last two weeks, with no success yet. Perhaps it's my e-cig ?

The hardest part about quitting for me was the physical act of smoking. The wanting to go outside to smoke, smoking in my car, the satisfaction of smoking. Getting over the nicotine takes 3 days. Getting over the rest..takes a long time. Vaping prolongs that.

Congrats!!! Huge accomplishment ? if I can ask, why is vaping not a good method? It's the method I'm using now, and I gradually decrease my nicotine mg

Great job!! I'm about 2 months away from being 3 years smoke free. I did the same as you and kept a pack of cigarettes on me at all times for a few weeks. Every time I'd quit before, I threw all of my cigs out and was obsessed with thinking about them. As long as I had them with me, for some reason it was easier to stop. It was so hard though, I couldn't sleep at all for about 4 nights and I was STARVING all the time. It got easier though and within a month, I couldn't stand the smell of smoke. Still can't to this day.

Well done!

I quit cold turkey a year before I got pregnant. Exactly 4 years as well!! Thankfully, it is no longer a struggle for me. Now trying to get my hubby to quit.

That's awesome!!! I'm 8 weeks without a smoke. I do have an e cig that I puff occasionally. It's helped me out a lot along with the patch. That's what has worked for me
