all for the camera
So at the children's museum there was a mom with 2 little girls. Every exhibit she would rush her kids over, tell them to dress up in the outfits and play while she laughed and took video. When she put it down she'd yell at them to take it off and they were done there. The girls would protest a little because they weren't done, but she'd move them along, pull out the camera again and do the same thing over. It was sad to watch. Seems like a lot of childhood is done for social media now
I don't have social media for this exact reason. I don't ever want my life or the way I interact with the world, especially my daughter on the way, to be about how many likes or comments I think I can get from it!
Plus, everything on Facebook is so fake. I remember when I had one, there were so many couples posting lovey dovey pictures that would get dozens of likes and I'd know in real life they were on the verge of a break up. Social media is all about acting. Ain't my cup of tea.
I take pictures all the time when I'm out and about with our daughter because I'm a sahm and my husband works long hours. I want him to be able to see how much fun our daughter was having. That being said, I would also let her play with something like that as long as she wanted unless the museum was closing or we had to get to an appointment or something
This is one of the many reasons why I deleted all social media (except baby bump of course) it's been over a year since I've talked to any friends I grew up/went to school with. Facebook was like an addiction. It took a few months for me to get used to being without it but now I don't even think about it.
At least she waited until after the video to be mean. My cousin is mean during her snap videos. She writes "taking my angels to the park!" And in the video she's like get your ass over here!! ?
My sister is one of those "she's my whole world" but in reality she's horrible to her daughter. Nothing more annoying.
@always because noticing other people takes up so much time...
I take pictures of my son every time we go do something new, or obviously if he looks really cute. I never want to forget the memories and I love having them to look back on. But I also let my child enjoy himself instead of rushing him to do what I please. I mean, he's only almost 9 months, but still. Lol.
Even if it's for herself, wouldn't it be better to make memories instead of staging them?
Not even just the kids. I feel like everyone plans everything around a good social media post. Nobody lives in the moment anymore.
I will admit sometimes I take my Camera places, but I usually only bring it out to catch candid moments of my girls and SO and I never post them. I print them out for my kids.
Gotta love those who try to make themselves look like great parents on social media ??
That's honestly one of my biggest pet peeves, because my stepsons mom does it and she's one of the most unfit parents I've ever seen. On Facebook, however, she talks about how her kids are her world and nothing else matters. I absolutely hate it more than anything ?
That's sad. I hate when people take pics of their kids just so they can post them and look like good parents.
I always forget to take pics. I always see people on snapchat taking pics while their kids are getting shots or with throw up on them or a diaper blow out. Thats the farthest thing from my mind in those situations. People are so obsessed with social media it's sad.
That is EXACTLY how sils and mil are. It annoys me. They also invite us over, play on their phones the whole time and then once we leave post on fb how much fun they had and how much they love us plus a picture that I didnt even realize they took where I look like crap.
Mil has posted a picture of ds saying it was nice spending time with him... she never even saw him that month. She'd rather look good to her friends than actually form a relationship with her grandkids.
That does sound sad. I'm one of those mom's who totally doesn't even think about taking pictures while we do things. Even my son's first birthday party, I think I took like 2 pictures, everyone sent theirs to me. It's not until afterward I'm like "oh man I wish had taken pictures".

Baby girl will be 6 months on the 29th so took her to get her 6 month pictures done today:) She refused to smile but every time they put camera down to change props she would crack up at them. Got over 60 different pics but not posting them all. More pictures in the comments.

This is what happens when a littles sister doesn't listen and goes a bit bridezilla. She wants all her sisters to wear the same thing for her wedding in a few weeks. I told her "I can wear something as similar as I can make it, but being pregnant I can't wear the same exact thing. It just won't work". Then she settled on a denim shirt dress. Cute, but wouldn't work on me normally, let alone pregnant (I'm pretty tall). She said she'd just femme a bigger size to fit over the tummy. I told her the ...

If you could have any procedures done, what would they be?
