When my grandma told me "you're going to do THAT (pumping) in front of him (4yo cousin)? Uh, yes, I am. He understands this is the only way my dd gets milk. ?

When people say "I'm SO glad you ended up having a girl!" I love my dd but I would've loved a son the exact same.

Also, when someone gets offended when you're trying to inform them about car seat safety/ sids etc. ??? I'm only trying to help you keep your baby safe!

Having someone ask my husband right on front of me if our son is his and when he says yes they go ohhh are u sure. Like wtf batch. ? And then to have her continue on with well is the one she is pregnant with yours as well. Ughhhhh needless to say she no longer has her job. (jackson hewitt tax preparer)

Also lately the whole finding out that 19 states in the US still use corporal punishment in schools has infuriated me. Especially to find out that my husband and i moved to one in just this past year. I dont care what side of the fence you sit on pro pr anti spanking but i will be damned if a stranger is going to put their hands on my child. ?

Oh. And I'm a sensitive susie when it comes to food since becoming pregnant. Your "jokes" about how much I eat or that I'm eating for two, or questions about my weight gain are not necessary. It's rude, I hate it, and if you wouldn't ask a random lady walking down the street how much weight she's gained in the last 3 months, or why she's eating her sandwich on white instead of wheat, then why the FACK do you think it's acceptable to ask a hormonal pregnant woman those things? I'm 8 months pregnant and have gained 20 pounds. I was pleased with my weight gain up until the multiple comments within the last 3 weeks about how huge I am and how my baby is going to be enormous since I apparently look like I'm pregnant with triplets -.-

Why are people so rude?

I haven't had him yet, but I never realized how many people are ignorant to so many different aspects of pregnancy, birth, child safety, etc. Including myself! I've done SO much research since I first got pregnant, and find myself thinking many times in a day "that's not true" "you're really misinformed" when people talk to me about these things. I never knew half of it until I started researching and learning, and it amazes me the amount if misinformation thats out there. Child safety is the biggest to me though. I cringe when I see people post car seat pics of their children on facebook at this point.

Hearing about Sexual abuse/ molestation really gets to me. I get very upset and now I trust no one. Im anxious when ever some one holds my baby and I need to be in the same room with her at all times.

Definitely gender stuff. Starting with us waiting to find out the sex, and seeing the ridiculous importance that people place on gendering babies. There were people who waited to get us gifts...I was like, no, that's the whole point...we want neutral.

Your 'Dad's little dude' and 'future draft pick' onesies are going straight to the thrift store ✌?️

It really annoys me when random people give me advice. Not the run of the mill "drink water" its like "you need to make sure that you never cross your legs because when you stand up, you might stand up on the wrong foot and the baby will be born with jaundice" lady I haven't even had my coffee...

Breastfeeding/formula feeding... I've done both. And it irritates the hell out of me when people feel the need to push the "breastfeeding is best, I can't believe you're using formula" like really...first off all of my children have been bf until at least 4 months, and dd nursed until she was 22 months. Sorry, not sorry.

Boys playing with dolls. I never really understood why a mom would get mad that someone didn't agree...until I had DS1. He loves dolls, barbies, etc. He also loves monster trucks and hotwheels. You're gonna tell me I shouldn't let my 3 year old play with a doll because society puts gender specifics on a toy? Get the fack out of here. It infuriates me.

Just a lot of things when they question things about my son. For example, he's 16 months and he doesn't say any words. My mom is always saying he's lazy because he can't talk yet and that pisses me off. I tell her every child is different and she still always says he's lazy ?

The comments about an intact penis don't bother me because I am very well informed. The ones about men being cheaters or liars don't either because I feel like that has a lot to do with bad influences in their lives.

I'm not breastfeeding my baby anymore but my cousin is EBF her soon to be four month old. I've heard a couple of people ask, "You're still not giving him formula??" When she says no they usually say, "Why not? You should try it."

I don't know why but that makes me wanna throat punch them. What business is it of theirs?

When people talk about "babying" your child. Like are they closer to a baby or adult.... Oh okay! Also the whole crying for no reason thing bothers me, I can tell you my dd may cry over something I might not understand but she always has a reason. Lastly people calling my dd spoiled my parenting may be more gentle but I parent according to her needs, some children are more sensitive and it's nothing wrong with that.

Oh also "he looks nothing like you". It really annoys me when I hear this. My husband is white, I'm mexican, my son looks more white than mexican and people always say this when we're out. I know he's my husbands little clone but I know when people say this they're referring to the fact that he's lighter skinned and doesnt have many hispanic features.

I know what you mean! I have two boys so when women degrade men/boys as being liers, cheaters, lazy, etc it really bothers me. Also the whole stigma of women being so innocent their dad's need to protect them with a "shotgun" because boys only want take advantage of her. Like, no. I'm not going to allow anyone to treat my sons like that!

I, also, get irritated with intact shamers.

Idk what makes you think it's okay to tell me that my son is going to have a stinky penis/ugly penis/gross penis and the foreskin is going to kill him or make his penis rot off. ?

When the rest of the world's penis starts to rot, I'll believe you lol

But the rest of the world lives with healthy penises.

Idk I guess it makes me feel defensive for my son because of ignorant statements. Because my son is none of that.

People's responses to interracial children. I was always aware of not everyone approving of interracial relationships, but now, having two kids who are mixed, when those disapproving looks are thrown in the direction of my children, I get real "momma bear", real quick. Also, if one more person refers to my family as "the rich man's family" because I have one of each gender, I might scream.

I agree with you 100% op. I saw a video on fb talking about how "potato shaped men" or fat men are not attractive. That got me super heated and if my son were to be fat or heavy whatever, I would hate to know how society needs to see him in a certain way.

Also last month my husband's cousin asked me what my baby's sign was and I said cancer and she said "oh hell no you better not make him into all the other cancers and him into an emotional mamas boy". That offended me... My son isn't even born yet and people are already making "rules".

I have an 8 year old with ADHD. I literally see red when people say "Oh, he doesn't have it. He's just bad. Or he needs more discipline." I also hate when people say that "everyone gets a diagnosis of their kid having ADHD because they can't handle their kid just being a kid." Uh, no. Some kids really do have ADHD and you can definitely tell those kids apart from kids that just lack discipline.

Breastfeeding. I have zero tolerance for anyone trying to tell a woman she should cover, or feed her baby anywhere other than where she pleases.

It annoys me when people look down upon women who choose to get their son circumcised.

It never bothered me until I found out I was expecting a boy.

Ответить

I'm more annoyed at the idea of people thinking having a boy and a girl is perfect. I actually wanted another girl after my two year old and was going to be done. When I tell everyone I have a girl and am pregnant with a boy, they say oh you have both so now you can be done. ? I always say, I didn't care if it was another girl, I was stopping at two kiddos.

Honestly almost everything. I hate when people say things about the way that I choose to raise my daughter and the things that I do with her. I also hate when people try to punish her when me or df is standing right there.

Oh also the whole "you're going to turn him gay". Ds loves to play with any toys and loves to do my makeup (even though its scary since he's 20 mo). Dh's family will sometimes make comments about how he shouldnt play with "girl toys" or play with anything pink (they took away a tricycle from him because it was pink). We dont talk to them much anymore. As if you can "turn someone gay" plus I wouldnt care if any of my kids were gay.

Same as you, the standards there are for boys and men.

Circumcision as well, many of my dh's family members talk about how "gross" not circumcising is, so it pisses me off since ds isnt circumcised.

"You should have a daughter". I've always just wanted boys. People always bring up how my son will leave me when he gets a wife and a daughter never leaves you and that always hurts my feelings. You just dont go around telling people they have a time limit with their kids.
