A really honest quote from last night. She may not be a veteran kind of hero that everyone pits her up against and compares her courage to. But her courage comes from the fact that she's trying to find acceptance for young kids who are committing suicide because of the hate they receive. There are different ways to change the world.

And that's great. But not everyone believes and that is the bottom line. I'm not going to judge them or speak ill of them. God will judge them, as the Bible says. And I will love thy neighbor.

Very aware and that is sad . How could you not ? There is so much proof that He is real. I am not going to debate it but its your choice . God gives that to you , to choose to believe or not . I know He is real because of what He has done in my life .

If too guys become women and like women, no they were never gay men. Ignorant. They both always have been attracted to women. After transitioning they would be considered lesbian.

@Mama, you are aware that not everyone believes in God right?

And I'm a practicing Catholic by the way.

I am going to be a debbie downer . But God makes you the way He wants you to be male or female . The slap in the face award goes to ...... Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ . Its like saying hey I know you made me male but I don't like it . So there ya go . I think its wrong on all levels and I am standing with the word of God on this . We are fearfully and wonderfully made and We are Gods master piece and He makes no mistakes . He may can take what we say but one day he will stand before a almighty God and unless He gets saved before that then the consequences for rejecting the Lord is hell and that is for eternity . It makes me so sad that some people will choose to do that.

Saying you would rather go in to a combat zone than live a day in the life of a transgender makes me sick. I can't even believe you would compare the two. Yes, she may be an inspiration to many, but she isn't the reason I'm standing here today.

I think this was beautiful! And really happy for Kaitlyn... she's made a big impact on many transgender people. Everyone should be accepted. I just think it's ridiculous how they do these types of awards in this manner. Obviously both deserved one, but I'd Rather someone receive an award who is risking their life for not just me, but my WHOLE country.

Today I saw a magazine in Walmart that said caitlyn is in a relationship with a transgender that used to be a man.

I guess I'm confused on how that all works. So are they lesbians? Were they both gay men when they were men? I'm just curious how it all works.

As for the message that Caitlyn gave- it was touching.

@Amber, going to combat is not something you can erase from your mind.

At least transgenders with therapy will eventually understand that they can't control the approval of other ppl and that even if they're not accepted in society or even if they're bullied, it is because there are mean people in this world who don't know any better. Although their feelings will be hurt, it is something that can be overcome through therapy.

Combat veterans cannot for the life of them erase the dead bodies off their mind.

A fellow Marine had to kill a baby because an Iraqi brought the baby to them and dumped him and ran away. Come to know there was a bomb attached to the baby.

Another fellow Marine could not put gas in his car because the smell of gasoline reminded him of the humvee in front of him getting blown up.

A combat veteran could never erase the images off his mind but a transgender with the appropriate therapy could overcome the bullying as they mature.

It had to be and American athlete that won the award which she was. There is so much hate around that whole family and I feel like that is why people are so mad about her getting the award. Because she was part of the Kardashian family and people just love to hate them

I think she's amazing. I can't imagine trying to understand your own self is hard by to feel a different gender at such a young age. The most scariest thing in the entire world is fear and she lived that and still conquered to be who she was. It's sad how many people take their lives because they are scared and don't understand. I personally think she's a huge role model and she's beautiful!

I rather go to a combat zone then walk a day in a Transgender ' s shoes. They are so brave and have to put up with so much hate just to try to live happily. There is no win for alot of them. Either hate themselves because they are not who they feel they should be or be hated by everyone around them for being the person who makes them happy.

It's a sad world we live in. Hopefully one day that will change. Hopefully we as a society be able to accept things we might not fully understand instead of being scared and hateful.

Regardless, there are people out there that will always say someone else deserves it better and blah blah.. This is an ongoing thing for any kind of award.

And do you have proof of this or it's just a rumor that gets passed around?

There are so many types of heroes. I wish people would understand that. A hero could be a single mom, who manages to raise respectful kids that grow up to be contributing members of society. It can also be a soldier who gave their life for their country. It can be a teenage boy who stands up against a bully. There are many types and every single one of them deserves to be recognized.

I doubt the other people who were considered felt it was a slap in the face. This award won't solidify an athlete. Any person that is considered for this is still successful in their own right

Really, no one thought this was a slap in the face to the more deserving honorees? No one thought it was very convenient this was right after Bruce gave his interview to the same network that he was awarded?

Hormones won't change her voice drastically if at all. Once your voice is set at puberty, it doesn't usually change

I thought her voice would have been different. She still sounds like Bruce to me. I haven't seen any of her TV appearances other than this speech....I just thought if she was taking hormones, her voice would have changed.

I was very moved by her speech. And if she makes one kid feel more comfortable in his/her own skin, she's succeeded.

I agree. Hero's come in different shapes and sizes. Its not a contest. There's kids that see a ray of light from her and to them she is very much a hero.

Does anyone know what this could be? I'm not sure if its just from her laying on her face, me kissing her all day or her dad thinks its from grease off his shirt from work😣 it doesn't seem to bother her idk if its an allergic reaction to something, I did give her a little infant tylenol but I had given it to her yesterday because she got her shots and her legs are still kind of sore and she's fussy so I didn't know if maybe that's why she's been fussy and she didn't get this on her face...any ideas?
