A really honest quote from last night. She may not be a veteran kind of hero that everyone pits her up against and compares her courage to. But her courage comes from the fact that she's trying to find acceptance for young kids who are committing suicide because of the hate they receive. There are different ways to change the world.
I am going to be a debbie downer . But God makes you the way He wants you to be male or female . The slap in the face award goes to ...... Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ . Its like saying hey I know you made me male but I don't like it . So there ya go . I think its wrong on all levels and I am standing with the word of God on this . We are fearfully and wonderfully made and We are Gods master piece and He makes no mistakes . He may can take what we say but one day he will stand before a almighty God and unless He gets saved before that then the consequences for rejecting the Lord is hell and that is for eternity . It makes me so sad that some people will choose to do that.
I think this was beautiful! And really happy for Kaitlyn... she's made a big impact on many transgender people. Everyone should be accepted. I just think it's ridiculous how they do these types of awards in this manner. Obviously both deserved one, but I'd Rather someone receive an award who is risking their life for not just me, but my WHOLE country.
@Amber, going to combat is not something you can erase from your mind.
At least transgenders with therapy will eventually understand that they can't control the approval of other ppl and that even if they're not accepted in society or even if they're bullied, it is because there are mean people in this world who don't know any better. Although their feelings will be hurt, it is something that can be overcome through therapy.
Combat veterans cannot for the life of them erase the dead bodies off their mind.
A fellow Marine had to kill a baby because an Iraqi brought the baby to them and dumped him and ran away. Come to know there was a bomb attached to the baby.
Another fellow Marine could not put gas in his car because the smell of gasoline reminded him of the humvee in front of him getting blown up.
A combat veteran could never erase the images off his mind but a transgender with the appropriate therapy could overcome the bullying as they mature.
I think she's amazing. I can't imagine trying to understand your own self is hard by to feel a different gender at such a young age. The most scariest thing in the entire world is fear and she lived that and still conquered to be who she was. It's sad how many people take their lives because they are scared and don't understand. I personally think she's a huge role model and she's beautiful!
I rather go to a combat zone then walk a day in a Transgender ' s shoes. They are so brave and have to put up with so much hate just to try to live happily. There is no win for alot of them. Either hate themselves because they are not who they feel they should be or be hated by everyone around them for being the person who makes them happy.
It's a sad world we live in. Hopefully one day that will change. Hopefully we as a society be able to accept things we might not fully understand instead of being scared and hateful.
There are so many types of heroes. I wish people would understand that. A hero could be a single mom, who manages to raise respectful kids that grow up to be contributing members of society. It can also be a soldier who gave their life for their country. It can be a teenage boy who stands up against a bully. There are many types and every single one of them deserves to be recognized.
I doubt the other people who were considered felt it was a slap in the face. This award won't solidify an athlete. Any person that is considered for this is still successful in their own right
Hormones won't change her voice drastically if at all. Once your voice is set at puberty, it doesn't usually change
I’m thinking of pull my daughter from her school and into home school because of the sex Ed coming to her school. How is home schooling.?

I finally worked up enough courage to announce today. ☺️

Does anyone know what this could be? I'm not sure if its just from her laying on her face, me kissing her all day or her dad thinks its from grease off his shirt from work😣 it doesn't seem to bother her idk if its an allergic reaction to something, I did give her a little infant tylenol but I had given it to her yesterday because she got her shots and her legs are still kind of sore and she's fussy so I didn't know if maybe that's why she's been fussy and she didn't get this on her face...any id...
Can’t believe the chick from dr.phill is a celebrity now all from disrespecting her mother and running all over her.. all that helped her with her music career & all that’s crazy🤦🏽♀️
And that's great. But not everyone believes and that is the bottom line. I'm not going to judge them or speak ill of them. God will judge them, as the Bible says. And I will love thy neighbor.
