This happened to my SO today. His birthday was yesterday and my mom thought it was today. He just laughed it off and I corrected her.

I would just say thank you without correcting her. She will probably find out from someone else like your dh and then possibly feel dumb but at least it's not you making her feel that way.

Facebook sometimes screws up & has birthday reminders the day before the persons actual birthday. It used to happen to me when I had one.

I would say thank you and correct ? at least she tried...my own grandmother got my birthday wrong one year. She was off by a day and thought I was 16 instead of 17.

Mine called me three days later at midnight to sing me happy birthday on my answering machine. She said she called that late because she wanted to be the first to wish me a happy 30th. ? I said thanks. (She doesn't know she was actually the last haha)

It's a day off.I would just say thank you. I don't call people out and correct them when doing something nice. Especially on social media if you must I'd just shoot her a text or remind her next time.

Maybe she doesn't get on Facebook that often and didn't want to forget? My grandma always posts a few days early to make sure she doesn't miss it just in case she doesn't get on that day. I would just say thank you. Who cares if it's a day early.
