Dd has always had a blanket in her crib. She cuddles it when she sleeps

In the UK we are now told not to swaddle and use tucked in blankets from the start. It's been fine but now he grabs Muslins and chucks them over his head I've been using a baby sleeping bag which makes him look all tiny again

Both my boys LOVE blankets.like, my 4 yr old doesn't go anywhere without it, not even to another room in our house.my 6 month old will be crying and fighting sleep for hours, I'll give him a receiving blanket and he falls asleep within a minute.but since he's so little still I wait a few minutes until he's in a deeper sleep then take it away.I was actually just wondering last night when I could just leave it with him :)

Lol heck no. My blanket is so tore up but I can't part with it! I just have to feel it but only when I sleep at home. I don't take it anywhere. And I don't let anybody touch it. Kid included ??

Oh my gosh I thought I was the only grown ass woman who still sleeps with their baby blanket lol!! Mine is actually in pretty bad shape, all ripped up and grey when it used to be white. It was originally like a baby sleeping bag in the 80s. But last year for my birthday my mom got me a 'brand new' vintage 80s baby sleeping bag, made out of the same material as my old baby blankie, and still with the zipper on, so I can actually put my old one inside my new one!! :) okay end of blankie rant haha.

Dd has always nursed her blankets to sleep. So now I don't really worry. She'll move them if they bug her lol

Dd has been sleeping with a blanket (sometimes two) since we brought her home.

When she was really little in her rock n play I would put over the sides so it wasn't on her and she was able to move and it not. Not the only way she sleeps is wrapped in a blanket on her side. I never put it close to her face and it never gets higher then her arm pits during the night. She is 6 m now.

Nope. I gave my son his blankie when he was about 2 weeks old and he's slept with it ever since. Lol on a other note, I'm 33 and I STILL have and sleep with the SAME blankie I got when I was born. Lol

My son has slept with a blanket since he started moving his head well enough for me to trust him to move his face if something touches it. And he hates things on his head and face so I'm not worried

No ma'am, my daughter has slept with one since she was a nb she would & still covers her face with it & it freaks me out, but it's because of the taggies on there. She rubs them across her eyes to fall asleep.

We started at a year, he uses it as a cuddler more than a blanket.

My DD is 5 months and currently hates them..I only put them on her if I'm holding her though, and she kicks it off right away.

He has it beside his face (he's a belly sleeper) but not right against his face

I introduced a thin blanket for my son at 18 months and at first he hated it, he'd just push it away. It took about 2 weeks before he realized how to use it properly. I'm not worried bc it's never really near his face, he either pushes it away or keeps it covering his body.
