SLEEP
Every time someone posts about their 6 week old sleeping through the night, I want to punch a wall. My 14 month old has slept through the night probably 5 times in his life. I'm fcking tired. He used to get up only once. Now he's up 4 - 5x a night. Honestly, idk if I want any more children. All I can think about is going years and years never sleeping. I'm losing my faking mind. It's honestly starting to make me angry every time I have to get up. (Obviously not enough to hurt him). my husband wonders why I never want sex. I use all my energy just trying to get trough the day to have another s*** tty night. I still bf him at night.
Awe I know exactly how you feel, my 12 month old has slept through the night 10 times, maybe? It's so frustrating, I mean she will wake up like 6 times a night ? luckily she has been doing pretty well since Christmas Eve and has slept through all but one time. These have been such wonderful days lol. I do have bad news though, your stupid body will be so used to waking up that you'll still wake up during the night, you just don't have to get out of bed lol. Good luck, I hope your LO sleeps through soon, I know how it feels to be exhausted all the time. Oh and I breastfeed too, I've been making sure she eats about 1.5-2 hours before bedtime and then I nurse her to sleep.
I put off his morning nap by 2 hours to see what happens
I feel your pain. My dd didn't start sleeping thru the night till she was 2.5ish. We had to stop naps all together and make aure she has a good bed time snack. She slept thru for 5 months and now is up at least once a night again. It's great concidering I'm 16 weeks pregnant and up every 2 hrs to pee. Urgh maybe in 10 years I will get some sleep.
My youngest only gets 1 nap and if he's not up by at the most 2 hours after he fell asleep, I wake him up. Also, I make sure he's been fed a good filling meal for dinner and then a small snack before he falls asleep. He usually gets a bath and his teeth brush and I also bought a night light a bit ago and I think its helping them. My toddler I do the same except she won't take a nap now. The night light is a lady bug and throws stars and a moon at the ceiling. Hope some of these things help you.
My 2 1/2 year old and 1 year old barely started sleeping through the night a little over a week ago so I hope it stays that way. I have been so tired and frustrated that I would get upset at other parents whose kids actually slept. Maybe try taking away one of the naps or at leatt cutting them short?
No advice because I'm going through that as well but my baby is only 5 mos , i know shes still little but i hear everyone say how their baby slept through the night at six weeks. last week she started sleeping from 9-4 but this week has been horrible last night she didn't go to sleep until 12 and she just woke up around 430
My youngest started sleeping through the night when I stopped breastfeeding at night. She started of as a good sleeper but when she started teething it all went down hills. Eventually she stopped eating and wanted nothing but breastmilk. I started weaning when she was two (and a few months)
My daughter was the same way until she turned two! It was awful! Then at 2 I weaned her from bf and after a week she was weaned AND slept through the night! It was amazing! Now she sleeps through the night most nights unless she doesn't eat enough dinner and then she will wake up hungry..... Seriously so nervous about this second baby, now that I know what a full nights sleep looks like I'm scared to go back!
Does anyone's 2 month old sleep through the night yet? If so what time does baby go to bed and wake up that counts as "sleeping through the night"? I know every baby is different I was just wondering what I may be able to expect hopefully soon or in the future.
How do I get my newborn to sleep in his bed he wants to sleep on me all night and I am afraid to let him I did it last night and finally for a little sleep but every time I place him down he cries until I pick him up!!!
I'm a FTM and trying to get my baby to sleep through the night. What are some tricks you ladies used? He will sleep from 10:30-2 but then wake up every hour to two hours after
How do I get myself up at the crack of dawn??? Lol I want to wake up and have time to myself in the morning, maybe take a dog running(trade off days with the big guys). Plus it’s the most peaceful time in the house. I’ve never been a morning person. I even worked evenings jobs (when I was you younger) mostly due to me not being able to wake up early. Lol. Annnnd wanting to stay out and party. That’s not the case anymore. Not out partying.
I know the heat can make me exhausted, but I usually ge...
i'm getting my baby circumcised tomorrow & it makes me so sad. i want to do it but i don't want to see him hurting :( makes me cry every time i think about it
My LO is 15 months. He has never slept through the night. He nurses hourly, sometimes more. I'll be lucky if he sleeps more than an hour at a time. We co-sleep, because honestly I would be dead asleep in a rocking chair if I didn't. My nipples feel like someone rubbed them against sandpaper. I just keep thinking, "He will get older. This won't be forever"
