Depends..I am usually very awkward with it because I'd rather jump in front of a car than cry in front of someone, so I get flustered and don't know how to react if its someone just being emotional.

I can't stand physical contact, I'll literally twitch so if they need a hug I try not to react with a rigid posture, I try even though its uncomfortable.

If its a death of a family member, pet or something that's actual life altering or huge then I can empathize more and can handle that better than someone crying over something that's trivial in my opinion.

I cry. Sometimes though it's awkward and I laugh and I feel so bad but I still laugh. If I don't like you, ya I don't care that's what you get =)

I just awkwardly sit there until they're done crying and I pretend it never happened lol. I hate when people cry in front of me, it's so awkward and uncomfortable for me.

I just stare, I mean... my friend's so the cry and try to talk crap, and then they make it even more awkward.

My SIL always grabs you, I shoved her away the last time. She was trying to wipe her tears and snot on me. I mean I didn't feel bad, she was crying over missing a concert. Mind you she is 32.

Unless its my husband or daughter I feel like I'm in an awkward position and do what I can to avoid it.

I usually just walk away. I can't handle other people's emotions I can barely handle mine?

If it's just me and that person alone I usually say I'll give you a minute. And leave but if they throw them

If it's something super sad and legitimate, I'll probably cry too.

But I laugh when others cry about dumb s*** or when I know they're faking... my ex used to cry and make up sad stories. I knew they were lies so I'd sit there giggling and tell him to stop making s*** up. He was a pathological liar...

Another time in high school, my friend started bawling her eyes out because her mom wouldn't buy her a new iPhone. She sat there talking about how her mom doesn't love her and did the whole "she's ruining my life, she's a b**** , why can't she see I have needs?!?!" I laughed so hard. Same chick text me the other day saying her mom wants her to die because she's making her go out in the snow to pick up Chinese.

I grab a broom and pet them with it from a safe distance.

I pat them awkwardly & say "don't cry, it's ok"

? I hate crying or ppl who cry around me I get so uncomfortable & weird. It sucks. I sometimes come off cold but I don't mean to!

Lol I thought I was the only one op hahah.... my dh's family are very verrryyy sensitive, they will cry like.. for no particular reason. I always just sit there sweating and trying not to laugh. I hate that feeling lol

I ask if they want to pet a kitten or shove a puppy or a cub at them haha or whatever animal they like I'll just be like "wanna go feed the reindeer?" And mentally beg them to stop. I can't handle tears.

I awkwardly give them the creepy repeated pat on the shoulder and tell them it's going to be ok. I'm probably the worst person to start crying in front of.?

Also, I cry watching pretty much every TLC show or abc family show.

Say yes to the dress, and they said yes to the dress, I cry. But only if they have a sad story like their mom died or something. And they say "I just wish my mom could see me" and someone says "she is seeing you, she's here in spirit." God I just lose it and get the waterworks. I've always been that way. Even watching survivor or amazing race or something and one of my favorites goes home I cry about that too.

Typing all this out, I'm seeing that i might have a problem. :/

Adults! Not children

If I see someone crying, from emotional stuff, not if they got physically hurt, then I cry with them. Even if it's on TV. Any romantic movie where the guy dumps the girl and she's heartbroken, and I have the Kim kardashian cry face going on.

If it's in person, I still cry with them but I try to hide it, like turn away and wipe my eyes lol.

Funerals are the worst for me

I am extremely empathetic, so I usually end up consoling and tearing up with them.

Chances are I'll hug you and ask you what's going on and try to make you feel better. I'll probably cry with you.

It never fails. My eyes always water with. Instead of a sympathy puker, I'm a crier. Lol

I look anywhere but their face! I feel like I'm making it more awkward but I just can't handle it.

I act awkward, and just sit there, it's weird to me. I do not cry in front of anyone except dh, so it's weird to me when people cry in front of me.
