Elderly lol... well yesterday at 5:30 my ob office called and left message they had information for a referral for me.. that was it. Of course I had anxiety all night thinking something was wrong. Just for me to call back this morning for my appointment date for a level 2 ultrasound... my BP was probably through the roof last night. Didn't sleep all night.

I'm 36 going on 37 and I was referred to a high risk because I have a possible clotting issue not just because of age....my high risk doc is amazing and having two obs help to ease my mind I feel like I have all angles covered

It must just be different based on the practice. I'm 37 and considered a low risk, normal pregnancy. Had my 2nd at 35 and first at 33.

I'm 34 - will turn 35 2 months after baby comes. I haven't been referred (not sure the system works the same where I live in Mexico) but my doc ordered a high resolution ultrasound for the first trimester (did not have that with my first, 2 years ago) and he recommended completely other vitamins and everything. I'm pretty sure they're using the U/S to check for early markers for genetic problems. He says it's just a standard check but this ultrasound isn't going to be cheap!

Yes I've seen a specialist the last 2 pregnancies. I've heard they are planning to extend the age, but who knows. So many people are waiting until they are established in their careers to start a family. Shoot Janet Jackson just had a baby at 52! Just more opportunities to see your baby ??
