no induction
So the dr just called me again tonight saying the on call dr don't feel comfortable inducing me at 38w6d....even tho I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow. My platelet counts are low but she said to just go to my scheduled appt on Tuesday and have them redraw my labs to see if they've dropped even more. I was still a bag of nerves but I was ready to see my little princess tonight. Why would one dr say induce me if it's not really safe to do so??

I’m due on the 27th making me 39 weeks on Tuesday and my dr is the one who scheduled the induction for tomorrow. Weird how this on call dr didn’t just run labs at the hospital to verify. Especially if it’s for lower than usual levels. We’re our own best advocate. Maybe you should call first thing tomorrow morning and voice how concerning this is for you and they can get your labs started sooner. Sorry mama. Hope all turns out well for you.
That's crazy. The way the dr made it seem on Friday was lije it was eminent. I have an appt on Tuesday and I'll see if I can get some clarification
@ruby the whole situation is weird!! It's like there's no communication between any of the drs there. My platelet counts always drop when I get pregnant so it's something they all should be concerned about. I understand not wanting to deliver my baby early but like you said, they could've at least checked the levels again. I don't think the drs office is open today bc of the holiday but I'm going to call labor and delivery to see if I can talk to someone about this. This is crazy!!!
