reaction to Makena injection
I had my last Makena injection last night and it Hurt So Bad!!!! The worse one ever! And today, my skin is super red and my butt is swollen really, really badly and itches alot too. Would you guys call the Dr or just wait it out?

I just finished my mckenna shots and thats soooo normal to happen it happens every time u get them. They hurt while its getting injected or shortly after and then it itches and is red. Its a side effect but the shots work wonders!!! Ive gotten them for the past 3 pregnancies.

Mine usually stays for a while but this one was really swollen!!! It scared me but it went down

@cmjohnson I'm a believer!! I had my first at 33 weeks and I'm now 37 weeks with this baby. I'm really glad I didn't have another preemie. And it's weird with the shots. I tend to have little to no side effects when I inject it on my right side but the left side ALWAYS have a bad reaction.
