Only find placenta heartbeat
I had a 19 week check-up yesterday & the doctor could only pickup a placenta heartbeat. Doctor said as long as the placenta has a heartbeat that means baby is fine... But i can't help but be nervous! Anyone else experience this? I have an ultrasound in 12 days; which will be my first ultrasound.
I could only pick up placenta beats for the first few time using my own doppler.. it's more of a wooshing sound where as the actual babies heartbeat sounds like a galloping horse.. I usually find the placenta beat and either right beside it or below it would be the babies heartbeat :) hope that helps as there is so many sounds in the uterus it does get confusing
The placentas blood flow is slower, correct? My drs found it first when searching for baby's heart beat. I'm not gonna lie, that'd make me nervous too but you'll get to see the baby in 12 days and I doubt that your dr would just make you wait if he/she was concerned. I hope the days go by quick and please update us!
Had this issue at 12 weeks and had to wait until 16 weeks (today) to hear it. She found it today, but it did take some prodding.
Please don't worry. You'll get your reassurance soon. ? those who haven't heard of this have probably never had their placenta in the front like we do. Totally common. Try to relax.
