First babysitter tomorrow!
My son is 9 1/2 months old & i haven't left him with a sitter yet! I am a SAHM & Jack goes everywhere with me, or if it isn't baby friendly then we simply don't go! Tomorrow I am having my mom come babysit him for a couple hours while DH & I attend a meeting together for our business. I hope I don't cry when leaving my LO! I won't leave until he goes down for a nap so i don't have to see his little sad face when I leave! Ahhh, I am already emotional thinking about it!

I survived leaving my son for 2 whole hours! I am so proud of myself :) It was kinda nice to get out of the house without him... I had forgotten how easy it is to run errands without timing every stop around a baby's schedule of feedings, naps & diaper changes!
I had surgery a week ago and I had to leave lo with grandma all day (at our house but I didn't go downstairs) and he did awesome. My mil played with him all day, took him for a walk, rocked him to sleep, fed him, etc. he was probably happy to have a break from boring ol me! I felt like it was a great first step to leaving him with mil more often so i can go to the gym, go shopping, go to the dr, etc.
it's great that you're leaving lo with a familiar face. He'll do great and you will feel great too. Because although we love our babies, its good to have little breaks here and there to realize how much we adore them. Good luck!
