First Birthday
Anyone not planning a first birthday party? My son has no cousins (i am the oldest child in my family & my DH is an only child) & we don't really have any friends with kids! I am having "smash cake" photos taken professionally so it isn't like i need to have a party for the photos. Is it weird not to plan a party though?
Thank goodness I'm not alone! I've been feeling like such a bad mother because I am not planning a party of any sort :( we live 19+ hours in all directions from any family, we just moved here a few months ago so don't have many friends, and we just don't have a lot of money... We will probably do a park day of it and have a little smash cake. Possibly have a play date with the play group in town that we've been socializing with ;) not anything else though.
I assume it will just be my hubby, me, lo, and some cupcakes. But then we don't live near family
I'm throwing one for the benefit of our extended family because they want a reason to come over and shower her with presents and money lol. I also want extended family pictures! We hardly see dh's and my family together, so this is a great time for everyone to meet up ! Doesn't matter that it's not a kids party, we don't have any kids in the family besides my lo!
There is only going to be one other kid at my sons birthday so it's a grown up party. We are doing a survival theme because hubby and I survived our first year of being parents :)
I don't think it's weird to not have a first b day. It's just for fun and they don't remember it anyway. But I am doing one for my ds because I love planning parties and I think it will be great to have pics with family and friends. But it's totally up to you!
Planning on another baby...? So for my first time moms when do you plan on having your second child?
I don't believe in first birthday parties for babies my opinion is its dumb and unnecessary
Hi I am into my 15 week now But since last two days am not having good feeling....I just feel something is wrong inside wid d kid...all my symptoms r too less Morning sickness is gone....Metallic taste of my tounge is also less....and I feel pain in my abdoman twice or thrice which is very minor though What should i do i am very confused Already have gone through 5 scans because of changing gynec Just feel that untill i hear the heartbeat or see my kid i wont b ok....got sleepless nights

Not weird at all! You don't have to have a big party. Celebrate however you like!
