Thanks ladies for all of the input! I'm feeling better and better about it as time goes on and it approaches. I know how risky pre eclampsia can be so I'm glad that I made it to 37 weeks (tomorrow) and can feel good about everything going in. My doc pushed me to go in on 37 weeks exactly and didn't want me to wait a single day longer. So now it's Saturday for Sunday induction
Thanks for all of your advice! I'll be eating a monster dinner tomorrow afternoon before hospital check in ? am able to squeeze in a quick outing with the hubby and some friends in the afternoon - should be a nice distraction before it's go-time.

I was induced due to preeclampsia with my daughter. It's not as bad as some make it out to be but every woman's labor is different. My pitocin was started at 6am and she was born at 11:27am. I did not have an epidural, instead opting for IV drugs, and I was able to take a nap before needing to push which was great. My advice would be to take it step by step and to trust your care team. I'm getting induced this time around (next week!) because I'm 36 and considered high risk because of my "advanced maternal age" ? Just breathe and enjoy the experience as much as you're able.

I was induced at 37 weeks last year with my daughter because of high BP. Other than it taking a while (27 hours), it really wasn't bad! Eat before you go in for sure! Be prepared for it to take a while; I was starving!

I have had 3 inductions they really aren't as bad as people make them out to be. Try not to worry about it until the morning of I know easier said than done. I think the hardest thing is knowing when it will happen.
The night before all my inductions my husband and I always went on a date and spent some quality time together. Once baby arrives you will be pretty busy. I found i got way more sleep going to bed late than I did if I tried to go to bed early. With going to bed late I didn't wake up as much and lay there in the middle of the night freaking out.

No advice for induction (I've never been induced but find out next Monday if an induction will be needed due to GD). I can totally understand not wanting an induction (I personally don't want one either), but sometimes a medically needed induction is safer for mom and baby. Good luck to you ?
