Fairmont Resort (Blue Mountains)

Has anyone stayed recently? Kids indoor play stuff looks amazing on website, but it is pretty expensive for just a hotel room (as much or more than a 2 bedroom holiday cottage...). Would love some feedback ☺️

I know a handful of people who work there and from an insiders perspective, they wouldn't recommend it. Having said that though, as a guest most people enjoy their stay. And the majority of the staff are lovely and do their best to accommodate to guests needs.

If you decide to stay there, avoid the buffet unless you get there early. They do pretty amazing food though. My DF used to work in the kitchen and would often bring me home containers full of food ?

PS but will definitely (& gratefully) take other recommendations of kid-friendly resorts anywhere around blue mountains!

Thanks... Have done most tourist things before (is the toy museum you mean in an old house?) so not too worried about being right in town. Bringing baby and 3yo. The Fairmont looks like it has a complete indoor play centre for guest-only use, as well as indoor pool / spa etc so we would basically be staying there for the on site facilities. Want to check if they're actually good though or just look good in a photo!

Hi have not stayed there for over 10 years but now live 10mins away.. It's quite away from Leura village. Lots of really nice B and B's or apartments closer to the village and tourist sites. Would recommend the toy museum if you are taking children away its magic
