Double pram needed?
I will have a newborn & a 2y8mo dd - has anyone had a similar age gap & did you get a double pram or just either wear newborn with toddler in pram / toddler walked with bub in pram? If it was 6 months either side I think my decision would be clear, but 2years8months I'm just not sure...
Has anyone used a skateboard on bugaboo chameleon with the bassinet attached instead of the seat? The bassinet is so large I'm not sure how it would go...
Depends if your 2yo is a good walker. I have 2yr7mnth old twins and a newborn. Found a cheap 2nd hand valco twins pram with toddler seat which works well, except most of the time it only has the baby in it cause the twins want to walk (or fight over the toddler seat!).
So most if the time I take my single pram and twins just walk.
Thanks.
No, can't get second seat for my current pram (bugaboo chameleon) so it's either new/2nd hand pram or no double pram at all.
Can get skateboard thingy though so if I decide not to buy new pram I may go that route.
There's only 18 months between my 2. We needed a double in the beginning but dd is now 2y5m and I never use it. Depends on your child I guess, sometimes it would be faster and easier for me but she always wants to walk. We went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago, I brought the second seat with us but didn't use it. When she got tired we just sat down and had lunch and then she was ready to go again.
I had a 27 month gap with my kids and we made do without the double pram. Although it would have been easier with, it is by no means essential. We did get a cheapy stroller for ds for trips to the zoo etc.
This time I have an 18 month gap and think the double is essential. I'm torn which way to go though, side by side or tandem. My ds didn't fit very well in many of the tandems because he was too big. I'd take your oldest and go check them out for size.
I have the strider compact, ds who is nearly 21 months sits up front and the car capsule sits at the back- haven't used it with this combo yet but it seems like it will work!
