Irrational Great-grandparents

So my husbands grandma (dd's great grandma) occasionally looks after dd but always at our place (we pick her up and drive her home, 15 mins away). They are constantly saying 'just bring her here instead' - um no. You have a swimming pool with no fence at all and keep the outside doors open. You have an open, slippery, sharp-cornered spiral marble staircase with no way of gating it. You have expensive, breakable ornaments everywhere. You are 80 and can't run after her as fast as we can (and do when we visit).

Didn't say I wouldn't let them see her, just not mind her (as it seems they then think we "owe" them for "using" them). We visit quite a lot & wouldn't stop that, they are family - irrational or not.

Awe. That's a shame. I think not letting her mins her though is a little cruel. She obviously loves her. And it wasn't her complaining. Be thankful you have people that will so it. I agree it wasn't nice. But to deny her is not a good thing. I'm sure your dd would also be upset xx

I agree with you. Sorry you are going through so much crap for it. Stay strong.
