Formula causing nappy rash?

Dd is 9 months, I've always breastfed but she has been refusing to bf for a month now, have been persisting, but after a month of struggling & crying every feed & bub not gaining much weight... After going through my freezer stash of milk I've started supplementing the last few days with formula (I still bf in morning & express enough for 1-2 feeds so 1-2 bottles formula). Bub has got a bad nappy rash since starting this (no new solid foods etc). I don't think bub has dairy issues (as she eats yoghurt/custard/cheese with no issues).

Of course it's possible that it's teething; but first formula bottle Friday afternoon & nappy rash around 4 hours later makes me think that's most likely the cause... But I need to give her something for the next few months until we can do cows milk! Was hoping for someone who'd had the same issue and a diff brand/type of formula helped

I've BF and formula fed all my three and personally have never experienced nappy rash as a result of formula. But it isn't impossible I guess, as it might be making their pee more acidic?? Or if it is messing with their gut then poo might be more irritating on skin too? But the only issues I've had with different formulas is constipation.

Being 9m though are you sure it is not because of teething?
