Potty training

My 2 and a half year old girl, just refuses to use the potty or toilet!! She's used the potty once off her own back, just said oh I need a wee and went and sat on it but that was about 2 months ago! Everytime I ask her or encourage her she refuses point blank or will ask for a nappy on! I bought a chart for her to use with stars to stick on but she's not interested! I just don't know what to do! I know she can do it but she just won't! ? any suggestions?!

Maybe she’s just not ready?

I tried my eldest at 2 and a half and he was definitely not interested or ready so we left him for a bit, his nursery kept pestering Us to try and potty train him and even went behind my back and kept putting him on the potty, I went mad and said I will train him when I think he’s ready. Tried him a week after he turned 3

and he only had a couple of accidents and was dry after that! Was trained within a few days.

My daughter was ready at 2 Years 3 Months but she copied my eldest and took herself toilet, was dry within a few days.

They’re all different and your daughter was just need a bit longer, the more you push it the harder it makes potty training x

Is there a particular reason you want her to be trained now?

My daughter seemed like she was the last one at her nursery - for a long time she would sit on the potty there copying her friends but never did anything and seemed completely uninterested in actually trying.

We waited until she was 2y10m and she was completely trained in a few days with not much stress or encouragement required.

If you aren't in a rush then it might be easier for you to wait and try again in a while - we left the potty around at home so if she wanted to she could have a go, and then when it came to it we went out together and chose some knickers she liked.

I figured for me there was no point rushing as I was being lazy and would rather change her pull up every so often than clean lots of accidents if she wasn't bothered!

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

I’ve posted about my defiant toddler many times before but I’m really at a loss now. She deliberately disobeys. Like, she knows what “no” means and if she’s doing something she knows she’s not supposed to I can ask “do you want to go in timeout?” And she’ll answer “no” and SOMETIMES stop.. I can’t take her anywhere cause she refuses to listen. She runs wild, screams, throws tantrums etc. At home she’s just as bad and absolutely nothing I do or say helps. Timeout doesn’t work, hand poppings don’t work, a pop on the butt doesn’t work, I’ve tried getting down to her level and calmly explaining things or trying to make sure she knows that I understand her emotions and things like that but I’m not even kidding when I say nothing works with her. I’m constantly telling her no and even though she knows she’s going to get into trouble she will do it anyways and then cream this blood curdling scream when she does get in trouble. I’ve raided Pinterest for days, write everything down, tried everything I found... idk what else to do. Everyone keeps telling me it’s “terrible twos” or “she’s just strong willed” or that it’s normal for her age and all of that might be true but there’s gotta be some kind of something that will help me teach her to listen to me and such.
