Sorry I just realized I didn't answer the first part of your question! I had an ultrasound at 10 weeks (dating), 11 weeks (for NT scan), 14 weeks (NT scan), 19 weeks (anatomy), 23 weeks (fetal echo), 27 weeks (monthly ultrasound), then weekly ultrasounds and weekly non stress tests from 29 weeks until I delivered.

I am a type 1 also. I just had my son last month. He was 5 weeks early. My pregnancy was really smooth until around 34 weeks. My blood sugars started dropping meaning my placenta was beginning to die. He was still healthy but it was decided it was best to get him out before problems started arising. We attempted an induction but ended up with a c-section as i wasnt progressing. He spent 7 days in the nicu for help breathing, eating, and jaundice. He is now a happy and healthy 1 month old. I think u get 2 or 3 extra scans. But not 100% sure x
