Broken routine??
So after crying all day on Monday my mum said she would have my lo for the night to give me a break and a good night sleep! She's been in a good bed time routine since she was 2weeks old (bottle, bath, bottle, bed) and goes down every night with out fail! So I asked my mum to please keep this routine so I text her at half 8 and she was still up, still up until half 10!!!! And now tonight she will not settle at all just screams when I put her down and if I hold her until she falls asleep and put her down she wakes up straight away and screams! There's nothing wrong - as in nappy, bottle, wind etc so I'm just thinking it was the night at my mums?? I've now had to get into bed with her and she's fallen straight to sleep because she's so tired! Sorry for the long post, I just want other people's opinions really! Is it because her routine was broken or is it just one of those things? She's 8 weeks old!

I'd say maybe one of those things one night doesn't normally break routine just keep trying hopefully will settle back into it don't b too hard on urself it's early days

I don't think an 8 week old would really notice a change in routine - it's more likely a growth spurt or a bit of fussiness. The thing is, when they are that young you get them in to a routine and then it is all out the window again, so you find another routine and then it changes again! It's just babies, they chop and change all the time depending on growth spurts and development! You just have to go with what is right at that time. I wouldn't think it has anything to do with being up later at your mums as they have no conception of time/day/night at this age x
