Birth Control
So I’m thinking about doing the Nexplanon implant in the arm. I’ve heard a lot of mixed stories about it but there’s really nothing else that I would like to use. If anyone has been on this would you mind telling me your experience with it. Thank you, much appreciated ?
@kaytie why no depo?? I was on it years ago before I had my first daughter & never had any problems, the only thing was I didn’t get my period at all & it was annoying having to go every 3 months.
Yes I keep getting mixed reviews some absolutely love it & then some have really bad experiences with it. I’ll just have to see for myself. I really want a birth control that I don’t have to worry about because on top of the fact that I’m very forgetful, I’ll soon have 4 children that i have to be on top of ?
I personally had a terrible experience with it. I would get really bad periods that were heavy and would last weeks. I sometimes would have my period for 3 weeks then a break for a week and it would start right back up again for another week. It also made me VERY moody. To the point my SO and I almost broke up when it got bad. I got it taken out after 5 or 6 months because of that reason alone. I do know multiple people who absolutely love it though, so it just depends on how your body will react.
@kristina no the hormones actually didn’t bother me at all I just know some people would rather not have hormones. & thank you ladies I’m going to try it out & hopefully I don’t have any issues.
@kristina no I had the mirena actually. I would definitely go with the copper one though because that one doesn’t have hormones.
@kristina see this is why I’m so stuck on what to do. The iud worked great except for one major problem. I suffered from chronic yeast infections & BV while on it. Literally every time I had sex I got an infection the next day. & I read that it’s worse with the copper one so it’s not even the hormones. I don’t know what to do and time is ticking ??
I actually posted a similar post a while back and afterwards I went and talked to my OB about the implant. she stated that many people have more side effects with the implant due to the fact that it releases more hormone then IUD for instance. The IUD and implant use the same hormone medicine yet the IUD releases less to produce the same effect
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
