ICEF in Baby's Heart: Should I Be Worried?

When I went for the second ultrasound around 23 weeks it was still there but my doctor told me not to worry that everything else looks fine & I actually won’t be needing to do another ultrasound. I let it go. I don’t want to keep worrying myself.

I.T was found in my 20 weeks scan . Still there and I’m 28 weeks now ❤️ baby is fine actually I.T is really common and used less as a marker for Down syndrome . If that is the only isolated marker no need to worry

Same thing with mine. I’ve had it spotted on two ultrasounds so I will have one more to see if it goes away now that I’m in third trimester. Many women I know have had these on their Children’s ultrasounds. All have healthy babies with no defects. Try not to worry too much.

Hey mommas! I'm from the May 2018 group and just had anatomy scan revealing ICEF on baby's heart. Did any of you witness it disappear in your later dating scans? Any of you get amnio to confirm?

Same happened for my nephew and he’s fine

@modabish, I really do think that everything will be fine. Apparently it’s so common they want to take it off the list as a marker. My doctor said she told me only because she HAS to, otherwise she rather not say because it’s an unnecessary stress. So I’m just trying to hold onto that. Prayers to your little one ??✨

I was told the baby has two on the left side of his heart. I’m going back in two weeks to a more detailed ultrasound to make sure everything is ok. Baby boy is measuring perfect and everything else looks great but i can’t stop worrying

My daughter had this, she didn’t end up with downs but was born with a heart murmur, she’s Two now and it’s totally gone though.
