Anatomy scan, ICEF in baby’s heart
So I went for my anatomy scan & they said the baby has ICEF which is basically a spot in babies heart that’s a calcium deposit. It’s a soft marker for Down syndrome. I’ve already done all the blood tests & everything came back negative for Down’s syndrome. Doctor also told us not to worry because baby is measuring fine as well. But I can’t help but worry, it’s been eating at me all day. She wants us to come back in 3 weeks for another dating scan just to make sure everything is still going smoothly. I did some research & see that it’s pretty common & moms saying there baby cane out perfectly healthy. So I’m wondering if anyone is experiencing the same or if you have in the past? Hoping & praying baby is ok. ???✨
@modabish, I really do think that everything will be fine. Apparently it’s so common they want to take it off the list as a marker. My doctor said she told me only because she HAS to, otherwise she rather not say because it’s an unnecessary stress. So I’m just trying to hold onto that. Prayers to your little one ??✨
Oh wow thank you, that’s very good to hear
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

When I went for the second ultrasound around 23 weeks it was still there but my doctor told me not to worry that everything else looks fine & I actually won’t be needing to do another ultrasound. I let it go. I don’t want to keep worrying myself.
