Scan tomorrow at EPU I’m going for a scan tomorrow at 12pm (absolutely terrified!) I woke up yesterday to some bleeding…

I think I’m going to cancel it. My OH isn’t going to come with me, and I’m not doing this alone ?

He’s the one who told me to ring in the first place ?

I know this is going to sound harsh but I'm really not meaning it to be but I know how scary it is I had to go to epu because of spotting but you need to think of your own health and your baby's. It could be nothing much at all. Xxxx hope you are okay

You’re right! I had decided I was going to go alone and make his life hell for not coming lol

He eventually text me back after hours of nothing to say he’d booked today off.

If I didn’t go I’d sit here driving myself mad wondering if everything is ok.

Hope the scan went well. I’ve got one booked for Thursday. Been to my epu this evening panicking over bloody Clearblue digital still only showing 2-3 weeks ? and had some pink spotting and mild pain on one side. It’s such a worry before you feel any movement for reassurance. X

Scan went well. Baby is where it should be so that’s good. It was all very y quick. She flashed the screen round and said look you can see the heart flickering (I couldn’t because of the angle I was at but my oh could) She didn’t give me a gestation just said I was just short of 6 weeks (by my dates I was 6+2 yesterday) Had a look to see where the pain was coming from and there was a dark patch that she measured and said that’s where the egg was released from and that was it.

Spoke to the nurse as I had +++keytones in my urine but I told her I was struggling to eat and drink so got to at least try and drink. She’s also put me on antibiotics in case I have a uti that’s just starting.

So all is good, thank you all for asking xx

Oh and I’m more than likely due in November now going by what the sonographer said but I’m going to stay here xx

Glad everything is okay. My sonographer when I went to epu said the dates are more accurate at 12 weeks than the now as they are so small. Xxxx

Luckymummy I’ve just seen your reply as I left the group. Sadly my instincts were right and the scan showed that the pregnancy had stopped progressing at about 5 weeks. I started bleeding at what would have been 7 weeks but we are hopefully going to try again soon. We got pregnant first try which softened the blow slightly although it’s still something I never actually expected to happen to me ?
