Who's breastfeeding whilst pregnant?
I have an (almost) 11 month old daughter who since I've found out I'm pregnant has lost interest in feeding. Has this happened to anyone else?
If you still wanna bf keep offering breast around 10/11 months babies do nursing strikes for a week or so some times longer sometimes short and people often mistake it for them wanting to wean especially if your not ready to wean yet. If you are I recommend pasturized goats milk its very similar to our breast milk so its easy on their tummy until you can transition to cows milk. I had to start my son on goats milk at 10 months old during the day but still nursed at night he had no issues drinking it though I did at first have to mix it with breast milk before I could transition him to just goats milk. But its super easy to digest unlike cows milk.
Thank you for all of your replies.
I'm sad that our breastfeeding journey seems to be over so soon but I'm glad that she has decided to do it and not me.
I don't really want to give her formula for the next month plus she wouldn't even take a bottle and I had to try her with formula in the past because of her low weight and she reused to try it. She's only on the 2nd percentile so can't afford to miss out on feeds. Not sure what to do really? In just over a month she can have cows milk. I think I'll have to talk to my HV on Monday.
It's funny really, one of the first symptoms I had was sore breasts and now pretty much nothing. I remember last time taking my bra off at night and being in agony lol
I'm also still breastfeeding my 15month old .. I've been getting her on the bottle to minimise the amount of time she breastfeeds . I wish she wasn't interested in breastfeeding anymore but seems like she's more into bfeeding now than before and so clingy to me .. Makes it so hard to bottle feed . have any of you breastfed till your baby was born ? Im 7weeks btw :)
I'm still currently breastfeeding my 7 month old. I attempted giving her bottle with formula and breast milk but she wants nothing to do with it. She prefers the boob. My boobs don't hurt and didn't with her either. My nipples just are sore when she latches on. But my milk supply has dropped drastically so I will have to switch her soon.
This is happening to me. My dd turned 11 months old today and is losing interest in nursing. She also spits up more now than she did before. I think she is trying to wean, which I am okay with but I do not want to give her formula for this last month. I am hoping she can make it the next 4 weeks until I can transition her to whole milk.
I have had 0 breast pain this time too (this is baby 4). My nipples hurt when she latches but that's it
I haven't breastfed during pregnancy but in one of the groups I was in when I was nursing my son there was plenty of women who did. The most common thing that was noted was the pregnancy caused the milk to dry up (usually babies more fussy at breast for lack of milk) or the baby lost interest in nursing because the milk changes in taste and they don't like it. You baby is also at the nursing strike age as well so it could really be anything of those things all you can do is keep offering or switch to an alternate feeding source.
What the hell has happened on here? What with all the drama, all I have managed to find is that someone has said somebody is lying about being pregnant wtf ...... What the hell is going on 😐
Has anybody experienced second pregnancy of vomiting by 16 week pregnant
husbands
What's the craziest thing your husband / boyfriend has said about your body since becoming pregnant.
Has anyone taken zofran while pregnant?
Has anyone smoked tree while pregnant ? I'm Curious n would like to relate
I'm bf'ing my 2 year old. My nipples are sore and painful when he latches, but that's about it. He seems to want to do it more for comfort than anything as he is eating solids, of course. I'm sorry your journey is ending, but you did a great job thus far!! You should be proud.
