Oh I remember with my first, it was average - 13 hour labor, 45 min delivery. But labor was definitely painful! Delivery was fine. Tiring more than anything. (:

You need to go in now!! When your water brakes you go strait to the hospital.

It was my water I called L&D they advised me to eat and shower then come in and then followed a bigger gush. I went into the shower and now I'm feeling contractions every 10-15 mins. Going to walk the stairs for a bit then go in

It's up to you. Dr's encourage you to immediately go to the hospital when your water breaks for "risk of infection". But there is no risk for infection if you aren't getting cervical checks. When my water broke I didn't have contractions immediately. I went to the hospital as soon as it happened and was given pitocin as soon as I was admitted. Which sucked. :( I wouldn't wait too long.. but no need to rush off. I would calmly make sure you have everything packed and ready and call whoever you needed to.

But congrats! How exciting!

I would go in, that's what i did with my first. But call labor and delivery and ask them sometimes they say wait for contractions or they say just come right in.

U could always take a shower and that will help u start contracting and go in after ur shower

Did your Dr. Give you instructions? My Dr told me since I'm 38 weeks wait until the contractions are 3-5 minutes apart or if there is blood (more then spotting). You can also call L&D and see.
