Posting this terrible faker cry photo of him. Out of curiosity, when did your baby start to smile (if so)? My son is almost 8 weeks and I haven't gotten any smiles yet. I'm starting to get concerned. And if yours started smiling already, was it a slow incline like one the first day then two the next day, etc?

Lol my son does this ! J started smiling very soon after birth and smiles a lot now. I wouldn’t be too concerned though but ask pedi to ease your mind. All children develop at different rates

The average age for real smiles is 6-8 weeks. My current baby started at 5ish weeks. My first started around 7 weeks. I would say it starts with a few and then they get more smiley as time goes on

My son is 5 weeks old and had a day several days ago where he was really smiley and interactive with us (we even took a video of it) but hasn’t smiled much since, even when we’ve really tried to get him to. I wouldn’t be concerned just yet, give it another week or two and your LO will probably be much more smiley ?

Around 5 weeks, and more frequently each week after. He's 9 weeks now and if you tickle his chin he will smile every time and laugh sometimes. I think you're probably fine!
