Back at it.

I've noticed my body getting less and less attractive in my eyes. Everyone says I'm small, and I know it's mostly just baby but my arms are getting flabby along with my legs in comparison to the active body I had before. I use to work out before getting pregnant then stopped because first trimester was exhausting. Now I'm getting back into it (first day back at the gym!). For anyone that use to work out before pregnant, 6+ months ago, what's a good rule of thumb for lifting? Could I start working my way back up to my previous weights, or my body is so out of touch that it's best to just keep it low weights high reps until baby comes? I have my next appointment on Tuesday where I plan to speak to my doctor for recommendations!

The hormones during pregnancy can make you lose your tone so don't think they are gone for good. I had the same thing but they always came right back once my hormones rebalanced after birth.

I know how you feel. I've lost 15 lbs and it's all muscle and boobs. I feel like squishy and saggy looking. I've started trying to do more squats to get my butt back and low weights, high reps. I also try to hike or walk incline instead of just walk.

I stopped working out most of my first trimester and when I got back to working out I started off slow and using less weights than I had pre-pregnancy. Within 4 weeks I was back to my pre-pregnancy weights. Just start slow and listen to your body. If you regularly lifted before you'll probably get back to your normal routine in no time.

Let me know what your doctor says...I'm in the same boat. I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow and haven't been to the gym since 9 weeks.

Don't overdo it as your ligaments are looser as your body prepares itself for birth. Good luck!

Starting TWW. Anyone else?

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
