where to put car seat?
Hi this is my second child, I was just wondering where does everyone normally place capsual when they already have a car seat in the car, my son's seat is behind the passager seat atm, do i put bub in the middle of do i swap my 5yr old to middle an put bub on side??
I need a mirror for my car to see my baby but the middle seat has no head rest what do i do

So if I can't put my car seat in the middle of my car, can I put it on either side of the back seat or is there a specific side? I have a 2005 Nissan Altima.
Where do you put your baby’s car seat, by the windows or in the middle ??
Trying to figure out where to put which car seats in my vehicle is so stressful. For all my carseat safety gurus on here, in a regular Chevy impala, on which side (or middle) should I put the big ff carseat AND where should the infant seat base go?

You should put seats wherever you're going to get the safest and most secure installation for your car.
Some cars have a hump in the middle of the back seat so you might get a better fit on the sides.

I always thought it’s best to keep passenger side more accessible and safer for toddles and kids to get in and out of car kerb side and not while standing on the road

I won't out either if my kids in the middle. I am too paranoid aboit something being thrown through the windscreen and hitting them

I have 3. 5yo in the middle, 2.5yo behind driver and Bub will be behind passenger but before I had to put a 3rd car seat it was 5yo behind driver and 2.5yo behind passenger as it was easy to get them both out of the car ?

I have 3 and bubs is behind the passenger, my eldest 6, in the middle, and my middle 4, behind the driver. The NRMA installer put bubs behind the passenger and I put the other 2 in that way as I want my eldest next to bub and his seat is also the slimmest so it just worked out best.

I have 3 kids, my 4 year old is in the middle, baby behind driver seat and toddler behind passenger. I put toddler behind passenger as he needs more monitoring, also would not trust him beside baby.
There is no rules, most people put baby in middle or behind passenger seat as rear facing seats take up a lot of space.

When I first had my second son I put him on the side as well because my oldest was 2 at the time and I didn't trust to put a new born baby next to him.
I have heard middle is safest and that's where you should put babies but I just didn't feel comfortable doing that next to my eldest son.

I'm not sure if never had my son behind me (drivers seat) i was always told it was safer to have him on the other side plus its easier for me to see him there an he could see me

Why use the middle if there's only two? We had 1 on each side. 1 behind the driver's seat, 1 behind the passenger. Pain in the butt, trying to load a capsule into the middle seat!
