Laws 4 taking bub overseas ???
Hi mummas need a bit of advice just wondering I'm a single mum bubs dad isn't on his birth cert, I'm sending off his forms for his passport today his father signed them for me but just wanting to know about taking bub over seas, a friend had to get a letter from her child's dad to be able to take her to nz for holiday, I'm hoping to take bub there in April, will I have to get one to?
something is wrong! her dad never came home last night! he would never do that knowing he's gotta watch his daughter while I'm at work... glad I can bring her to my job and my parents will come get her but I'm so scared right now!
Dad's FB Video!! Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
baby wipes What age was your baby when you started using baby wipes when you changed their bum? I'm using cotton wool and warm water but just wondering for when we go out for the day what I'm going to do.. It's my fiances birthday in a few weeks and his dad is guna take us to monkey world.. do I just continue with cotton wool and just take a bottle of water to use or wipes :s ftm and a bit confused! You don't always need a letter (but it can be safer to have one) to go overseas as long as the other parent is aware & agrees to the child being taken out of the country. My niece who is 5 is currently in Bangkok with her Father for 3 weeks, no letter was needed as both parents agreed. If he was stopped at customs all he has to do is give them my sister's number & they call her to verify.

No but it's complicated. You need to go to family law court and get orders giving you permission to go. The court gives permission if:
1/ they are confident you will come back and;
2/ they feel it's in the best interest of the child to go overseas.

Thought so that's crap :( what if I can't get in contact with him does that mean my son can't go on holidays

You need to get a letter from him. Even though he isn't on the birth certificate he is the 'acknowledged' parent. Travelling with children is governed by strict laws because of international kidnappings. They aren't allowed to make exceptions even if the father has no contact.

That's what I'm hoping but friends bubs dad wasn't on hers either and she had to get a letter even though he had never even seen bub so that's why I'm confused :(

I'm not 100% sure but I thought the father had to be on the birth certificate to have legal rights?

I don't think you would have to as his not on the birth certificate!
